~*A Visit to The Hospital*~

By: confusedsoul | Posted Feb 14, 2014 | Direct Dil Se | 997 Views

Hospital certainly is not a pleasant place to visit unless you are going there to see a new born. I happen to visit a hospital recently to see a friend. I was asked to wait for sometime and I couldn't help recollecting all my memories associated with it.

I saw a lot of people anxious either sitting or standing in a queue, making some payment. It certainly wasn't a pleasant sight. I realized how each one of us have been through a situation in life where in we have gone through this pain. We have no option but to do as the doctors say as we are helpless and we want to see our loved one back in good health. However, today I wish to share a positive memory associated with my visit to a hospital.

When I was around 11, I was hospitalized for jaundice. There was a slight delay in detecting the problem and because of which my case was a severe one. At that time I wasn't really aware of what was wrong with me, I didn't know what jaundice was, neither I understood the meaning of the word severe.

My parents stayed with me in the hospital and my dad told me that he was really bored of staying at home and this was a kind of vacation for us all. He said while I get treated for that little problem all of us can have fun away from home! I was really excited to know we were on vacation. I stayed in the hospital for around 10 days all through which I did what I liked. Right from painting to watching a movie. I remember going out one night to watch Pardes in a theater.

Unknowingly my dad taught me a lesson which I will remember for life. If you are taking care of a patient make sure you don't scare him to death irrespective of the problem he/she is facing. This might certainly remind you of Munna Bhai M.M.B.S but I am proud of the fact that my dad introduced this lesson to me much before our Munna Bhai .:)

Wish you a wonderful weekend!
