The new movie PAATHSHALA

By: mrignaini | Posted Apr 17, 2010 | General | 778 Views

Wanted to write a review but after an infinite-th attempt to open the review page my frustration level could not take it any more.

So now the review becomes the diary!!!!!!

Watching the promotional songs on T.V of the new movie PAATHSHALA, looked like a promising watch.

But however good the songs may seem, however brilliantly picturised, melodious sound........still it is no guarantee of a good movie.

This movie may have had good intentions (I mean the makers had).......it was not well executed at all.

Today's problem about children seems to be the theme of the movie. The commercialisation of a school. The better facilities the school has.............the better the school is. Studies are not the most important thing in a child's life........was the thing that was made out to be a story.

Nana Patekar, Shahid Kapoor........actors like them were wasted in this movie as they did not have much to do. Only a few seen here and there. Ayesha Takia was just an ornament to the movie.

The song 'Aye Khuda........' was like a breather to the movie. Two other songs, one by Kailash Kher was good. The lucky Ali song was played after the movie was over.

There was a very loud character (principal's assistant)........who was so irritating that to sit in the hall became unbearable.

A few scenes here and there played by various child artists were worth a watch.

All in all if you don't have anything to do and to escape from the heat, this movie PAATHSHALA is worth a one-time watch. But be prepared!!......
