After being reported for a suspicious activity twice in the Champions League T20 2014, Sunil Narine was banned from bowling against Chennai Super Kings? in the finals on Saturday.

Following this decision, the off-spinner was pulled back from the upcoming India tour, starting on October 8, by WICB as a measure of protecting the bowler and fixing the perceived problems. The Board will concentrate on reexamining his bowling action and get him ready for the World Cup 2015.

Venting his frustation, West Indies chairman of selectors, Clive Lloyd, said, "I am quite disappointed about the procedure that surrounded the'calling' of Sunil in the Champions League tournament." Further, he added "We would like some clarity from the authorities on what led to the present situation and the details as we move forward. I think there must be a better way of doing the right things."

The upcoming India tour will have five ODIs, one T20 and three Test matches.
