Every other day now we are seeing Sony’s Xperia Z1 (Honami) leak online as we inch closer to its unveiling at a pre-IFA press conference on September 4. Now a press photo of the Xperia Z1 has leaked online on GSMInsider that show the device in three colors— black, white and purple.
The device in the photo looks strikingly familiar to the Xperia Z, with the only visible difference being a metal frame around it. You can see the frame in the leaked photo, but it is currently unclear whether it is merely a frame or also doubles up as the antenna like in the iPhone.
To recap on what we know so far, the phone’s USP is its 20.1-megapixel camera with BIONZ image processing engine, which reportedly has the capability to shoot 4k video that no smartphone currently has.
Additionally, the device is expected to feature a 5-inch display, 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at 2.2GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and is also expected to be waterproof and dustproof.
