I am sure you all are equally outraged by the terrorist attacks.There is a rally going on and people are venting out anger,hurt,denial and seeking justice.
I just returned from a trip in the morning.This incident was haunting me all the time in the trip and all I did was switch on the tv and watch the update the moment I returned to the hotel. Today after reaching home I wrote some thoughts but kept avoiding this.
I have my own drawbacks but that still made me angry at peoples attitude.
Instances that happened in hyd:. We went to an eating out place to grab some lunch.This joint is mostly frequented by youngsters in the age groupon 18-25.The tv sets were on showing coverage and the girls out there were so busy in their own world.One female telling her friend:"I like .... coverage better than ....." I kept looking at her cause the point is they are showing death coverage,people are trapped and dying and all she could think of was a media channel.Isn't there any difference between terrorism and entertainment?
Then all the time while we were travelling I looked at the traffic police and the cops who were all over.
Frankly speaking (I might be a bit rude here)how are these cops gonna save anybody?
Most of them I saw were overweight.This I have seen overall in most of the metros.They are busy gossiping they have ancient weapons to face the enemy.They lack in most of the aspects.Police are gonna be the first to encounter a problem.It is only later that other defence wings come in.
On the other hand all the terrorists are well trained,physically fit,financially backed (that explains the arms they carry,goal oriented and highly focussed)What else do they need?
This way who will save us or our families?Reactive measures will never protect us.
Infact even our politicians are aware of this.They have the best trained and fit personnel as their security guards and what are we given? What are we paying for? Why are we such a sleeping society? What do we get for sharing our hardearned money in the form of taxes to the govt?They don't provide resources nor do they intend to provide basic security against a sudden invasion.Is it so difficult to have better ammunition and trained fit forces?
