Ebay India, as trustworthy as the name sounds it really isn't.

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone from their website on 10th June and made the payment via PaisaPay and was told that the item would be shipped by 15th June which didn't obviously happen. I constantly kept in touch with the Seller and he kept on telling me "TOMORROW". Eventually yesterday - 19th June - the seller tells me that the Item (Galaxy S3) has scratches on the side whereas in the item description it said "BRAND NEW".


Now when I contact Ebay they are giving me a nice run around, indirectly telling me I made a mistake by "trying" to purchase from their website.They say my refund will take 3 days which is OK, but I also want ebay to compensate for the inconvenience I have faced in the last 10 days. I have also lost out on a good deal I could have got from Alfa, who contacted me last week saying that they had got the same phone I was looking for. But now even that is sold out! I do not want the phone now but I want compensation from Ebay India for the inconvenience.


Whoever said Customer Is King didn't do a thorough research in this country!


In a similar case, my friend purchased "New Samsung handsfree headset for Galaxy Note, S2, S3 with model number: EHS64AVFWE" from ebay and they turned out to be fake. It's been 15 days and the parts are already falling apart.


And we tried reaching out to ebay on Social platforms and what we get is a automated reply. We call their customer care and all that is happening is that the calls are getting transferred from one person to another. They have made this a joke.
