Note introducing myself ...

By: anup_bagla | Posted Oct 30, 2023 | About me | 87 Views

I am a full-time spiritual seeker .... (Seeker of spirit / spiritual realization or complete enlightenment with stability); And my goal of life is to connect to God (All knowing reality, essence ‘Para brahma’; realise Aham BrahmaSmi!) and work for brightness (enlightenment), meaning in life and peace, which passes all understanding. I am a resident of Hyderabad, 68 years old young (DOB: 31.08.1954)

I am practising (A Practitioner) to grow these 10 human traits:

  1. Giving and forgiving attitude (Opposite of greed and expectancy)

  2. Straightforward/transparent

  3. Non-attachment

  4. Wisdom about the nature of things

  5. Consistent efforts and courage

  6. Patience, forbearance, forgiveness

  7. Truth and morality (ethics)

  8. Strong determination

  9. Friendliness/goodness/compassion

  10. Equanimity

Early childhood & the School Life: I was considered/known as bright student. As I was a good student, I secured good ranks in schools and finished school in the year 1971-72 and appeared for joint entrance test JEE and got the intimation of my selection into IIT (Rank:1206), which was a grand moment of my life and I opted for chemical engineering at Banaras Hindu University – ‘Institute of Technology’.

The College life at Varanasi: The college was a turning point in my life as I was generally a good student among the above average and graduated with first class. I was famous as an intelligent student as I used to solve difficult problems frequently and used to give answers to various questions in the class; IIT-BHU has been my place or professional school as alma mater, which has had the deepest impact on my growth of personality and in being a professional. It was transformational and germinating years of my life and personality and the Institution moulded it and left an indelible mark on my attitude, personality and the culture of self-dependence, excellent and creative performance, helping others, and doing something for the society and the world to bring a change for the better with the spirit of truthfulness.

After graduating in 1977, I had the experience of ‘Kundalini Jagran’ (Surge of vital energy, spiritual Enlightenment during which time, I felt as if I could do anything/everything and I felt deep peace, intuitive knowing, mind reading, what people - including unknown people - are talking about me remotely and other such spiritual powers), which was not understood/recognised by many or most except few; And, I had initial setback due to lack of proper communication (being somewhat introvert), misunderstanding and condemnation (rejection)by few of the mediocre so-called engineers and my own people at home (being from a business family) and I felt that my creative genius & brightness was not recognised by fellow engineers;

While at the same time, initially, I didn’t take up a few offers in Industries (Even M. Tech at IIT, Kharagpur due to excessive confidence) as I felt there was not much freedom and understanding for innovation & creative work and I felt Industries with its cut throat competition, exploitation attitude without much cooperation & social harmony was by and large using engineers / professionals as money-making-machines instead of building their career, life and possibilities; therefore, felt that business & Industries with mostly petty and average minds discussing people / castes / communities, events and money rather than ideas

And, I being a man of simple living and high thinking, doing good and being good, not harming & hurting others and helping others to grow as part of cooperation and complementary role that we play… felt that it was not my cup of tea, and I felt, I was placed among people and environments which was not conducive for my brightness and I resigned from quite a few Industries and suffered financially without much income/earnings (Financial freedom) and became dependent on my father somewhat.

In the meantime, after years of experience initially (10-15 years; 1977-1989), I also realized about colossal damage these Industries were doing towards process (in terms of lack of upgradation and Innovation), energy and environment conservation and towards sustainable development. Also, I felt these business & Industries were using men, natural resources, machines & technology to make money in a greedy & selfish manner rather than using money also to make or build men, machines, technology, and societies. This gave birth to devoting my life and commitment towards doing creativity, human, social and sustainable development work.

Thereafter, I worked for writing and publishing many original research papers and articles during 1990s on the above theme (although, I did not make much money); while, I worked for Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) on various Research & Industrial projects and later while working independently as Chartered Engineer with different Organisations including ABC (Projects), Baroda Productivity Council (BPC), Vadodara …

Later in last 20+ years I worked for and did many projects in Energy conservation / Audit, Environmental conservation & concerns (Audit), Process audits and sustainable development at Aarvee, Stanley Consultants, and other Organisations. However, I did not make much money. Thereafter, I joined AHRD (2010 -2013) for HRD course-work on Creativity, Human, social & sustainable development. In between during 2004-2006, I have worked as volunteer at sVyasa and Art of Living and since 1990, I have attended many spiritual (meditations) courses/camps, yoga camps including Vipassana, sVyasa (Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Sansthana), Art of Living, Isha Yoga, Sahaj Yoga, Sahaj Marg etc. and 2-months Vedanta-course at DLS all with the goal of spiritual enlightenment/peace etc.

Although, I faced many challenges and difficulties at work place as I found the corporate culture was not conducive for environmental conservation and sustainable development and I suffered in my personal career also including financially, However, I have taken it in a positive spirit with acceptance & surrender …

While earlier, Iworked with Aarvee Associates, ABC (Projects) India Ltd., ASCI, Hartex Rubber, Bells Controls etc. and last worked and associated with M/S Stanley Consultants, India, New Delhi (MNC, HQ US) from 2008 end till 2014-15 as Environmental, Process & Sustainability Expert till 2014/15;

Presently, I have a few health challenges/issues like high BP, low hearing, cervical problem, etc. due to stress/low-suppressed vitality/vital energies and taking a break for personal/health reasons for last 10 years as a @ home freelance writer / scholar / researcher (Creativity, human, social /sustainable development) doing research on environment, energy process, sustainability & writing / publishing research papers as I had been a research scholar with Academy of HRD, Ahmedabad and more or less dependent on son/family. Passionate 4 human, social, sustainable development, environment, Process engineering, creativity (Lateral Thinking, student of Edward de bono); written many free-wheeling off-the- cuff thought-papers on above and many more write-ups, books in pipeline ...
