My morning walk

By: tiyarani | Posted Apr 21, 2009 | General | 486 Views

Blink, blink.........yawwwwn...I am not a person who likes to sleep till 11 in the mornings...but that does not mean I love getting up at 6!! Actually 5:50 a.m to be exact. I trudge downstairs, into my living room......brush, brush......gulp down some water, pull on my shoes and, as the front door closes, I take in the fresh, invigorating morning air. During summers, early mornings and nights are the only I like......climate-wise, that is.

Morning walks. Like it or hate it-I gotta do it. Why you ask? Oh well it's just that I don't wish to be bogged down with diabetes at such an early age. So here I am, out of my house at 6 in the morning, dreaming of my comfy bed and AC.

Thankfully we have a garden right next to our house. Still in a zombie-like state, Ienter the through the garden gate and start covering the perimeter of the garden. Great. I am not even wearing my sports shoes. My current sandals cause me immense discomfort. Ouch! there goes a stone......a pointed one at that! Hopping around, I wait for the pain to ease out. No such luck. So I start hobbling forward. Somehow I complete two rounds(not an easy feat). I pause and search for my parents.........and see them coming straight at me! Well not exactly, but I was blocking their path. They encourage me to join them for more rounds, but I figure I have had enough for one day. Plus I don't even have my headphones which would certainly have kept me entertained for two more rounds.

So I walk back home, this time full of energy ;) while my parents stay behind and complete their quota.
