Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.(John 14:1-3)
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.(2 Corinthians 5:1)
We all have an understanding that heaven is a perfect place. Do you know that currently heaven is not a perfect place? After the secret coming of the Lord Jesus majority parts in heaven would be perfected. Only after the tribulation martyrs depart from the world, will heaven become completely perfect.
It is true that our dear servants of God teach us that there are different places in heaven and the one place Jesus said He is going to prepare for us is Zion and New Jerusalem. Here I am going to detail another interpretation(revelation) which I received recently.
Presently in heaven we would find many completed mansions, many mansions whose construction is going on, many vacant plots where construction has not begun. So presently heaven would look similar to any city on the world where always some construction would be going on. Though heaven would be unimaginably more glorious than any beautiful city on earth.
When we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our only savior and start obeying His commandments by taking water baptism, God reserves a plot for us in heaven. The plot we get in heaven cost us nothing! On behalf of us God paid the price. So we see salvation is free. It is a gift of God(Ephesians 2:8).
When we continue to obey Him by practicing all the truths revealed to us by His consecrated servants, especially faith life, God begins the construction of our mansion in heaven. For every truth we practice in our life, we are paying the price to enable God to construct our mansion in heaven. For every truth we know but don’t practice, the construction work in our heavenly mansion stops and we lose the opportunity for our construction to progress. Due to this the completion of our heavenly mansion gets delayed just as we see on earth unfinished houses where construction work has stopped due to shortage of funds.
Once our mansion is ready we would leave this temporal rented mansion which is our body, and enter into our eternal permanent mansion in heaven whose builder is God himself!
If we leave the world before our mansion in heaven is completed, we will not be allowed inside heaven. Our mansion would be ready in hell and we would enter there! Our unfinished mansion in heaven would be destroyed and our plot would be given to someone else.
Even Old Testament saint David had a revelation that God builds our house(Psalm 127:1).
How is the construction of our eternal mansion going on? Let’s not waste our time and miss the chances God gives us to live out the truth. Time once lost is lost forever.
Secondly, attending church gatherings, having regular family prayers and reading the Word of God alone is not enough for God to build our mansion. It is true we received Grace of God when we do these. But those are not enough. They are like the Rs 5 or Rs 10 we give to the beggar. With that money can we be able to buy brick and cement? Only when we live according to the truths God has revealed to us we get sufficient funds to enable God to build our heavenly mansion.
