MANTRI SQUARE BIGGEST MALL IN INDIA SOFT LAUNCHED

By: derebail2008 | Posted Mar 14, 2010 | De Guide | 15351 Views | (Updated Mar 14, 2010 01:32 PM)

Mantri's have inaugrated or rather soft launched the biggest Mall in India in the heart of Bangalore with 1.7 million square feet area spread in Sampige road, Bangalore. Earlier Forum which was situated almost 10 kms from M.G road was an aspiration place for shopping, dining and movie goers. Now Mantri square has come has a better option for people who are staying in Blore North and East. It is just 2 kms from Majestic and 7 kms from Shivaji Nagar, 5 km from R T Nagar, 5 km from Vijaynagar, 9 km from Dasarahalli . and 6 kms from my place.

The biggest USP of Mantri Mall is Free Parking for all shoppers 2000 cars. No wonder they sold their retail space like hot cake to all the big retail gaints during recession. I hope it will be a permanent feature, otherwise it will be disappointment for Movie goers and shoppers and nightmare for road users with choatic parking jamming all the roads.

PROMOTER : The promoter of Mantri is Mr Sunil MantriOne thought. One decision. One faith. And it can make all the difference. A young executive director abandoned his peak career in automobile forging in Pune and came to Bangalore on July 14, 1999 with an aim to pursue innovativeness in the conventional industry of Real Estate. Underlying this winning Speed and Quality managed systems was the evolving of his PQRST philosophy (Punctuality; Quality; Reliability; Speed; Transparency) that today percolates into every Mantri project and is followed by every employee in the company.

His focused attitude of ‘Speak less, deliver more’ within a span of a decade has won the best builder award in 2009, and tied up with Morgan Stanley.

SPAR, PANTLOON, RELIANCE, LIFESTYLE, SHOPPERS STOP, MARKS & SPENCERS have all come under one roof at Mantri square for the first time in India. A mind boggling 200 outlets in retail space will be merchandising and selling their wares in this mall. 36 options in Food court is phenomenal. 6 Inox screens will be operational hopefully by May first week. There is SCARE house too under finishing stages.

The best part of this mall is the design which uses the maximum light from sunlight, but I was disappointed with absence of rainwater harvesting, which was not visible, unless they incorporate it later. It would be suffice for the entire year if they are able to harness the rainwater. Maybe architects have their job cut out on this account.

Another serious job is for the traffic police which is cut out for them day in day out. There is going to be traffic jam, so commuters are advised to use alternative routes. Even bus routes may have to be re-jigged eventually. I hope Mantris contribute in maintainence of the space on the road upto the junction near under pass like UB city promoters. Otherwise the shopping experience might turn out to be nightmarish experience for the citizens of Bangalore.

SPAR : The world's biggest retail chain has their outlet in the basement, which covers nearly 1 lakh square foot of space, 53 billing counters, 50,000 plus products, The products particularly the groceries displayed and sold are mind boggling, with launch offers on many a products. I just picked up all the goodies I regularly consume in a hurry, in food items, fruits, fishes, and bet they are really fresh. I hope they keep checking the manufacturing date while purchasing the items and continue to offer garden fresh items.

Escalators, Laminated Glass Balustrade, Skylite roofing, Seating tables and chairs, well designed washrooms, staircases, air-conditioned environs even though not fully operated, signboards though not very prominent, well routed parking system with pathways for public, etc are the highlights of the mall.

Kudos to MANTRIS for offering Bangaloreans a world class shopping experience, why would anyone go shopping abroad, when you can have all the goodies in India itself. Well when INOX begins it can become a one day cinema, food and shopping experience for a family.......just plan your trip once to this wonderful place after MAY to experience full scale offerings.
