Domino's pizza will roll out an all vegetarian menu during Navratri in about 500 Domino's pizza outlets across the north, central, and parts of west India starting from 1st October.
This is not the first time the pizza outlet will be adding festival flavors to promote its brand value. On the occasion of Ganpati, Dominos had started an interesting service of organizing AC buses for devotees to travel across pandals. The pickup and drop points for the buses were Domino's pizza outlets across different locations in Mumbai.
Domino's India president said that the consumption of meat reduces drastically during Navratri.
"This move is an acknowledgment that though we are a global brand, we are conscious of consumer needs. It's about making a statement to consumers." Domino's claims to be the first brand to offer a complete change in menu for a festive season.
The new menu will have pizza bases made of sighara atta(water chestnut flour) and saabudana crisples. It will also include all dietary restrictions people observe during Navratri.
These marketing moves might be an attempt to revive the falling sales of the pizza brand.
