India vs West Indies: Players to watch out for

By: anish_t24 | Posted Mar 31, 2016 | General | 462 Views

Tonight's game is going to be a tough one. For every strong player we have, West Indies has an equivalent. If you're playing the fantasy league, I'd suggest stick to India. Team loyalty will help you enjoy the game. However if you want to score brownie points, I suggest these players should be on your list:

  • Chris Gayle: When Darren Sammy was asked if Kohli factor worried them, ?.have you ever heard of Chris Gayle?? he retorted. Let's not forget his century against England in Wankhede.

  • Virat Kohli: He is the answer to West Indies' Chris Gayle. As Amul said, "Always taken for granted." Need I say more?

  • Dwayne Bravo: An all-rounder who has always performed under pressure in CSK led by Dhoni. A person who probably knows how to tackle Dhoni's plans.

  • Rohit Sharma: Probability of Rohit Sharma performing tonight is high because - 1. He captains the Mumbai Indians in IPL, who else knows a Mumbai pitch that well? 2. Considering he hasn't performed in any of the matches so far and that the law of averages is bound to catch up. 3. He scored a staggering 98 off 57 balls in the warm-up match against West Indies.

  • Andre Russell - Known for his crazy looks, he has a fantastic bowling record in IPL as well as T20.

  • Jasprit Bumrah: He is a Mumbai Indian and Mumbai is his homeground. Most importantly, he bowled Gayle in the warm-up match at Eden Garden. Here's hoping a wicket for him because that's the best way to stop West Indies' Blitzkrieg.

PS: What if they bring in Harbhajan Singh? The game could just get better for team India because he is a former Mumbai Indian skipper, has the pitch in his backpack and a great batsman only at Wankhede.
