It's often said that no matter what Life Goes On...
We come across a lot of difficult situations in Life and we crib, we cry and when the right time comes we are relieved of our difficulties. At times we aren't relieved but our attention is captivated by something more difficult or amusing. We stop cribbing and we Go On with Life.
From the past few days I am reminded of my grand mother... I haven't shared this with anyone. May be because the people around have moved on with Life and Life is Going on for them...
Whenever I think of her, I am reminded of a woman of substance, someone who managed the house well, she was a teacher by profession... Well qualified, sensible.. I believe we learn values by observing and then we absorb, I have certainly learnt a lot by observing her ways.
She aged gracefully. Established an identity for herself and encouraged my every little achievement. It's a trend to capture every moment, memory in a camera. But my grandmother was always reluctant to get captured. We had no choice but to agree.
One fine day I thought of asking her the actual reason for being camera shy.
She was quite for sometime then she finally said.
'I do not wish to leave behind anything that will remind you all of me'
But she didn't realise then that the memories she has left behind will live with me forever...
