India - General

Most of you would hate to speak out. Understandable since I sound racist. I suffer from a persecution complex. Rightfully so. I am a south Indian and proud of it. Here are a few instances of discrimination all of us face every day. My friends from North India prefer Hindi over English. I prefer E...nglish over Hindi. But I speak Hindi for his convenience.He has been with me for the past five years in the same company, mind you. Never attempted to converse in English. Or learn the local lingo. Do I have reason to feel persecuted? Subtle discrimination. A few of them nag that most here do not know Hindi. Is that their problem or the local's problem? The sad part. It is so deeprooted that we do not realize it happens everyday. The member who wrote the review wrote it with a very clear hint. The comments section has another dumb member writing (i am in Hyderabad and believe me its really pain to converse in here with the local people, the maid I have doesnt understand anything at all in Hindi, whenever we have to tell her something I have got to tell her like she is deaf and dumb, a lot of auto wallahs, milk man, News paper guys and people either dont understand HIndi at all or they pretend not to.But the situation is really pathetic, I feel frustrated whenever we have to converse with these guys.) which sounds like the normal nagging though we are used to it.
