Hi, Its a nice post you have put up. I had a similar calculation when I moved out of my Indica DLS V2 2005 model which I too had used for close to 79000 kms in 4 yrs. Since then I have moved on and now have a Ford Figo Petrol. The calculation you have put up was correct till say about 6 moths b...ack when the petrol cost was near 53 Rs. (Mumbai) and Diesel was close to 39 Rs. (Mumbai). Now Diesel is close to Rs. 42 whereas Petrol is Rs. 63. Govt is mulling Petrol to go up by Rs. 4 more and Diesel to go up by Rs.2 With this widening gap, may be we need to calculate afresh and find out that the benchmark kms may actually come down.Read More

The only catch with a sequential gas injection system is that it is double the price of a traditional closed loop system. Found out from Green Globe in Mumbai that this costs nearly 63k which is extremely expensive. May be in a few months this cost will come down since SGIS is currently a new techno...logy.Read More

There is a port available at the back of the music system and through your dealer you can get a cable fixed which opens out into the glove box. I have used this and is good enough. Bluetooth also works really well . Go by the manual.

The problem with some of us is that we look at the value post selling our asset even before using it. I would request my friend to drive a SWIFT at 100 kmph and the same in a Figo. Unless he like to feel airborne, Figo is a clear winner here. In terms of interior space also, Figo is as big as SWIFT.... The low design is a give away and many feel tall people find it difficult to get in. I have seen my friends getting in and out of this vehicle without an issue. Not sure about the design either since SWIFT at best looks like a Frog. I have owned a SWIFT before I brought my Figo so you can understand that.Read More

The thing with Maruti is that the weight is so low that you need a lot of judgement to bring it under control soon if you are in high speeds. Above 80 kmph in a Maruti box be it any model you are asking for trouble. To increase the FE, they have used very thin quality metal which does not dent but t...ears. Not sure I agree on the plastic./Read More

I am sending my update on the Figo review. I had put up an update some time in June 2010 when my car was only a week old. My love with this fantastic piece of delivery from Ford has only increased since then. In terms of overall control and stability Figo scores way above SWIFT which was my earl...Read more
