Yogesh, you would be in the best position to take that decision. I would recommend the SX4 if it fits your budget, but remember mileage is about 10-12. You also need to consider long-term running, maintenance and spare parts cost and that's where Maruti scores ahead of the competition.

You're right, the VXi model would have been expected to rake up the numbers for Maruti. Amitabh, what part of my review put you off about the SX4?? Personally, I think it's a great product. Of course, for a car of this size and 102 bhp you can't expect too much mileage.

Shreyas, Bangalore is a big city with plenty of Maruti dealers. Did you try at other places before booking the ZXi? I got my SX4 VXi - metallic grey - within 3 weeks from the date of booking. Even the colour of the car can determine the waiting period (white and red are most popular). What mad...e you wait for 1.5 months to call the dealer? You have probably been 'pushed back' to the end of the line cos there are many more anxious and impatient buyers (like me) who keep pestering the dealer all day long. I took test drives at 3 different dealers in Mumbai and finally went with Spectra Motors, Borivali, as he promised delivery within a month. I called every 2nd day, spoke to the manager, spoke to the car finance person and they gave me the car in 3 wks just so that I get off their backs!Read More

Instead of a review on the SX4, we have some free advice about phasing our Esteem, Baleno, changing the name of Zen, etc. etc. And the other specs mentioned can be picked up from any site - this is not what a user review should be!
