Wow this is the first time I am hearing this feedback about such a Samsung phone, leads me to believe that either:
1) the phone is defective, or
2) you moved over from a really high spec phone to this (which phone did you use before this?)
Do have quite a few friends who have exactly the same mod...el and did not hear this such feedback about the battery life. Any way you can get his replaced under warranty?
In any case, look at the bright side of this, you can now buy a new phone :) And the scene in the android phone market is that for the same kind of money (I presume 'less than 10K') you would have spent on the Samsung Duos, you can get a phone with much better hardware...for example I bought a Gionee Gpad G2 about a month back ( at 'less than 10K' and it has very nice specs - including quad core processor / dual sim / 1 GB RAM / Android Jelly bean / 3000 mAH battery / 8 MP camera - the phone is really fast, has never hung up even once on me as yet (touch wood), screen refreshes are very fluid, and best of all the battery lasts 2 days atleast with my kind of usage (and sometimes 3 days if I use wi-fi sparsely).Read More

Update: The issue is resolved as of yesterday night. A technician came home and resolved the issues. Like I mentioned in the previous comment, it was like Magic.
Thank you mouthshut.com. You are able to help resolve issues that lie unattended & unresolved for months through the normal helpdesk c...hannels.

Hi,
I believe the problems were for the old INDICA. Apparently these issues were corrected when the INDICA V2 Version was launched. Or am I wrong?
