More than Jayanagar Super Bazar (which has nothing much to write a revu on) this is a revu on the huge Jayanagar 4th Block Shopping complex .For those who arent familiar with Jayanagar (or Bangalore) ,its one of the throbbing oldest residential area 'n just has that right balance of modernity blended with tradition .After landing in B'lore after my engg ,has shuttled my base all across the city 'n I can definitely rate this as my favourite location in Bangalore along side with Kormanagala 'n Indiranagar.
Jayanagar 'n its surrounding area is mainly a calm serene well planned green residential area ,but 4th Block is the hub of all its commerical activities or rather for the entire southern part of Bangalore and a shoppers paradise. There's option for any kind of budget out here 'n can go to any extend in tems of bargains, which isnt so flexible in other areas like Koramangal/I'nagar .Showrooms of any label, side street bargains, discount sales, supermarts like Foodworld, lots of colleges 'n skools, internet parlous, various temples,MusicWorld, film theatres, lots of hotels, sport clubs 'n swimming pool 'n anything u name ,u 'll find it here.
But the best part of this place is the wide choice of eateries, starting from the popular Kadambam which specialises in lipsmacking Tamilan cuisine, Hot Chips for its fingerchips ,samosas, kachoris.Fire 'n Ice 'n another one just opposite to it(oops!!I forgot the name) specialises in the best grilled sandwiches 'n yummy cocktail ice-creams( some whacky names like Madonna, golden cherry, pepsi float,.... )in the town 'n at unbelievable prices like for just around Rs 20 (which wud cost nearly 100 bucks in brigades). There's virtually stampede on the footpaths due to these two takeaway joints.Moving on Ganesh Dosa camp , Sreeraj Lassi Bar,Sweet Chariot .....all adds more flavour to the gourmets chioces.Hmmm, I 'm hungry writing of all these now.No wonder in the daytime these places r swarming with chirpy students from number of nearby colleges and in the evenings with families.
So if u r in B'lore ,'n looking for some vibrant hangouts followup this place maybe after brigades 'n mg road.
