I do not have a problem with the lazy cops sitting at traffic signals or any of those who simply do their work. But it's those cash addicted uniformed men of the law zipping around on bikes (actually they are parked on the roadside at their worst) who spoils the reputation of the whole force. ...Read more

I was coming from Spencer Plaza side towards the airport and had to turn left at the next signal. So I started crossing over to the left lane when a few cops with bikes parked on the side hailed me down. They told me I was on the wrong lane and demanded Rs. 250. What stupid shit! Was I supposed to j...ump over to the left at the last minute?! Lucky for them I did't have my documents with me that I had to make make an agreement before they found out. I ended up paying Rs. 100. A good side income for a lazy sunday evening duty. Not surprising that I see them at the same spot on sundays. Aren't they supposed to help us out, not take advantage of us? I do not think they understand the meaning of being a Public Servant. The public is supposed to be the Boss. Well, nobody seems to understand.Read More

It is no doubt that the media is one of the most(if not the most) powerful institutions in shaping public opinoin and even Govt. decisions. The whole picture is fiction. I'm not talkin about the picture portrayed in the book, but the whole idea and theory behind it. An unbiased free-thinking person would understand that there is simply not enough scientific evidence (unlike the 9/11 WTC incident).

Thanks for the comments Arshad and Abishek. Nice to see that there are still a few good men. If you want more info on the Sept 11th incident I would recommend www.question911.com. They have loads of videos made by different people, news clipping that were aired immediately after the attacks but myst...eriously not shown afterwards, and scientific researches. And it might be interest to note that the President of the Company who looked after the security of the WTC, United Airlines and American Airlines is none other than one of the Bush brothers, I forgot his name. It is easy to sound anti US but more and more citizens of the US are turning 'anti US'. According to a CNN Poll, around 85% of voters believed that their Govt. was involved in a coverup in the 911 incident. You just can't ignore that if you claim to be democratic, can't you? Now let's watch and see how they handle Iran. Who's next? Scaringly Yours, KimaRead More

I totally agree. Everybody knows him but only a handful of movie freaks know of his movies. Somehow the media succeded in convincing the people that he is such a great actor. I don't remember which award it was that he got, but it was an online poll which showed him as the the most successful ac...tor of all time (or somethin to that scale). He himself commented that 'this shows Indians have nothing to do except browse the internet'. The picture would be different if Americans voted hundreds of times each for their favourite actors.Read More

The way the govt is going about with primary education and Govt schools, we might not as well dream of a time when we can have a standard level of education for the masses. As we all know the standard of education is on the rise at the top end, while it is crumbling at the govt. schools, which is wh...at most of the minorities have access to. to me it seems like the govt is using the reservations as a sugar coating to cover up the state of the educational system and give some opportuniteis to the minorities, who otherwise would most likely be rebelling against the govt. And by giving them education the govt can have assurance that it can sort of have control over these minority groups thru these 'educated' ones. Just a hypothesis of course.Read More
