Overview: It's been said The Beatles changed the world of music when Sgt. Peppers hit in 1967. My personal favorite quote about this was, ''After Sgt. Peppers, there were no rules to follow, and every pop and rock band could do whatever they wanted for better or worse.'' True, that album d...Read more

Much has been made of Oasis as a band. Are they the second coming of the Beatles? Are they the biggest band on earth? Well, the answer is no, and not anymore. But for a time, between 1994 and 1996, there was no bigger band than Oasis. But what started the whole international Britpop craze? The a...Read more

Like so many Metallica fans, you classify the band in the term Heavy Metal. While this isn't wrong, it's misleading. Heavy Metal really is Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and so forth. Metallica added another dimention to it. Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing depends on the person, but I've a...lways thought of them as trash metal and never as heavy metal. There was nothing super original about their music. The gods of rock (Led Zeppelin) had literally invented these sounds in 68-80, all before Metallica released their first album. What made them different was the faster tempo. Hammett makes Metallica different, and nothing else. Burton was only an average bassist, Hetfield is just an average guitarist, and Lars Ulrich is no Magician on drums. They're about Hammett, and about the chemistry of the group. Because as god and satan know, they're not much individually, therefore they're MUCH more than the sum of their parts.Read More

The name of the album actually comes from a Jeff Beck Group song, Definitely Maybe.

Overview: Led Zeppelin II was the first number one album they had in both the U.K. and the states. Their first hit also came from this album, Whole Lotta Love. This album became the blueprint for innumerable hard rock and heavy metal album from the 70s and on. When an artist sites Zeppelin...Read more

Overview: Physical Graffiti is the true equal to Led Zeppelin IV, and Led Zeppelin's only double studio album. While it does have a few songs that may be labeled as ''filler'' on first listen, it is never a disappointment. The album includes a treasure chest of great work, maybe more than any...Read more

Overview: The first thing you have to know about this collection is you won't ever appreciate it unless you've already heard most or all of Led Zeppelin's album work. The main purpose of this collection was to give old fans a new look at Zeppelin. This doesn't qualify as an album, nor necessa...Read more

Overview: This was the first album of the ''Latter Days'' of Led Zeppelin. While this album deviates more from song to song than any other Zeppelin album before it, it still is a wonderful album. It went even higher on the charts than IV, which was a very hard act to follow. There are seve...Read more

Overview: Led Zeppelin IV (the album also goes by Zoso, Four Symbols, or the Runes Album because it is officially untitled) is possibly the best album the group ever turned out. Of all of the best Zeppelin Albums, this one is the most well rounded. Unlike Zeppelin I-III, Physical Graffiti, an...Read more
