Did not know 'Jab Jab Bahar Ayi' was from this movie. I enjoyed Rajshri movies until Mr. Suraj Barjatya took over. Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoons was atrocious. I never really liked Bharat Bhushan - not sure if I will be able to watch this movie. Great review though!

I have noticed the tendency amongst today's college public to go for anything that is 'international'. Would you have tried its pizza if the name was say 'Indian Pizza'. Probably not! Hence the name US Pizza. I have been there once and I agree, they do sell good pizza, better than Dominos and Pizza ...Hut anyways.Read More

-0- Faerie: We had Mrs. Bhonde. We would be spanked the next day, if we were found talking with improper grammar and / or pronunciation at the lunch break the day before. Professional media houses world over have strict screening rules to hire journalists / anchors. In India, it seems as if ever...y Tom, Dick and Harry, who cannot qualify to do anything else in life becomes a TOI journalist. Thanks for the comment. JaveedAhmedM:Thanks for the comment Javeedbhai. We will have to agree to disagree on The Hindu. As much as I appreciate its strict quality control, I loathe its editorial content and inclination. In my opinion, The Hindu under Mr. N Ram has gone so far left that I would not hesitate to call it the 'People's Daily of India'. I will try and pen a review on the topic one day if I get a chance. smart62535: Now that is a great example of a good newspaper. The Statesman unfortunately could not survive the competition with Telegraph and TOI Kolkata. Thanks for the comment! Shalu.D:I had a conversation about the very same subject with my friend who works at one of the newspapers. He said that they dish out what people want. They have experienced higher sales after starting to print scantly clad women in the newspaper. This clearly shows our public taste in general. Thanks for the comment.Read More

I did not take any part of your comments 'personally'. Life is too short to get pissed off by trivial things like this. Your comment did make me angry. Where was the scope of the statements like - 'all atheists would be murdering and sinning like hell. They do not have fear or belief in God.' What d...id I say and how do you react? Nonetheless, to each his own!Read More

"Unlike China's rise, world comfortable with India: PM" cried the headline on timesofindia.com. I have always wondered whether the print media in India employs proof readers or editors! If an editor at New York Times let this headline appear, he would be fired for making a serious grammar mistake. I...Read more

Did I say that ONLY the fear of God prevents a human being from committing a sin. Virat, before writing a long reply, you ought to read the comment properly. If you were a true believer and a true God fearing person, you would realize that morale, as you put it, is what we call ’fear of God’. You sh...ould understand, that if a person has no morals, it is quite unlikely that he is a believer and fears God. Secondly, my comment states that ’fear of god’ prevents a ’god fearing’ human being from committing a sin. Do I make any comments here about atheists? I have never been able to understand the concept that humans are superior to anything else in life. I do not know anything about atheism and therefore I refrained from commenting on the same. Just because I do not say anything about it, you should think twice before making assumptions and writing a long comment that does not make any sense. Regards!Read More

It was quite interesting to read your review. I am not sure if I can subscribe to Sartre, as I am a God fearing person. I do not think that situation would be same if God did not exist in people's conscience. It is the fear of God, that prevents a God fearing human being from committing a sin. You h...ave to distinguish between those who believe in God and those who fear God. Anyways, I am not sure if I can read the book, if your review is just a trailer.Read More

Isn't this typical of most of Indian banks, especially a Government bank? It does not surprise me. I have had good experience with ICICI bank though.

i figured from the review that it is a documentary but the story line suggests there might be an element of horror into it - kind of like watching a documentary on National Interests about African Jungles.

My sister had a horrible experience flying Indigo couple of months ago. Her flight was delayed by 6 hours and there were hardly any announcements made. I have flown IA, Jet, Kingfisher, Spicejet and Air Deccan. Trust me, never ever fly Air Deccan. It is HORRIBLE. About Delhi Airport. They have a... massive expansion going on there to prepare for Commonwealth Games next year. Messiah! Bullshit!

-0- khulamunh: The average American is very confused right now. He likes what Obama says but is not sure if he does what he says. Nirvana.: Alright let me ask you this. If my company fails tomorrow, shouldn't we do expect government bailout? Don't we pay taxes. If the TARP logic is applied to th...e whole country, there is no end to this abuse of taxpayer's money. Why should Citibank be helped and why not Lehman Brothers? Obama is a populist. The only difference between him and GWB is that he speaks nice and speaks opposite to what he does. Whereas, GWB was blunt and spoke what he was going to do. You decide which is more dangerous. hermit: Thanks for the comment. akisha: I could not agree more. But unfortunately such loan waivers bring votes to the politicians and all they care for is power. I could not agree more with what you have said. Shalu.D: Can you apply the same logic to GWB. He is a human too, so he can make mistakes too. No. He is not allowed to make mistakes. People did not vote him in the office to make such huge mistakes. Is he trying? What is he trying? He ain't trying nothing.Read More

The dilemma : I head home.. but where to? Part 1

Jun 11, 2009 03:44 AM

-0- As Vir Sanghvi puts and I concur, we Indians are the most racist people in the world. We not only discriminate based on skin color, we also do it based on caste, religion, creed, tribe and a whole lot more. Media has made a mountain of a molehill. No doubt the attacks are racist in nature but th...e media portrayed it as if Australia is now the most unsafe place for Indians in the world.Read More
