I have been using Airtel post-paid mobile connection 3 years back. I always check my bills because, every alternate bill used to have some 2-3 ’’special SMS charge’’ for 30/-. That time, I was staying alone and I’m least friendly with any SMS applications. Always I used to write mail for this and th...is junk shameless ’’Airtel’’ fellows used to say sorry and adjust that in next month. This drama continued until I stopped the Airtel connection.
So, its my gentle advice not to go for Airtel connection, and if it’s compulsion always monitor your bills without any fail.Read More

I also took this package, and I am badly suffering now a days.
I got their call in the first week of December 2006, and I went to Highland Holiday, Manipal Centre office to attend the holiday package plans presentation. I was told, I will get 6Night/7Days under 2yrs package. And in case, I am n...ot able to use (Which was my major concern), I will get 10,500/- returned for 3Nights/4days. So next year, only 3Nights/4Days will be left. Again, if I don't want to use, I will get the same amount back for next year also. So I got agreed, because I didn't feel any loss here.
Soon after getting the membership certficate (Jan 07), I called Highland Holiday to cross check, when I can apply for the return of 1st yr unsed package. That time I was told, you can apply at the last of the year, means I should request in December 2007 or later. So I called in the month of December 07, regarding this. That time I realised these people have befooled me. But I kept calling, and I wrote one mail regarding this (April 08). But I didn't get the reply. Later, I went personally to the office, that time I was told, to get this facility, you should use at least one year package, thereafter you can claim for the next year. Then, I lost the hope. I thought, if I could, I will use the whole package before Dec 08.
Now when I want use this package in Shimla, these people told me that they don't have any affiliation with hotel, where I am interested in, so they cannot book the room!!Read More

Hi Mohan,
Thanks for your honest review comments. I am also using same bike for last one year. I agree with the Pros & Cons given you, but like to add you few more:
Pros: It has most comfortable sitting for the rider, which makes you uncomfortable for any other bike after being used to thi...s bike. For me, the mileage is better (45-48Km/L) than you. Also the maintenance charge is almost nill.
Cons: Suspension is really very bad. I am using my Avenger as second bike made by Bajaj and I feel its gear system is damn poor. Some times it stucks in between and most dangerously, sometimes the gear reverts it back from 5th to 4th or like this while running steady. I reported this problem at Service centre, but they in return started teaching me how to ride a bike :) Due to open chain, it becomes frictional in rainy/muddy season.
I hope the new Avenger with 200CC engine would have come with least problem and a true cruiser !Read More
