Hi Madhubms, For your information I have used iTunes and many other advanced softwares as well. I never said, it 'crashes' on updating. I will be dead once you:- 1. Connect it to the interet, using your Firmware Updater available off apple's website. 2. The Firmware updater will send your iPhone...'s identification details to Apple's Database Server which will verify the phone being present in India (unofficially) and instead of providing you the Latest Firmware, it will delete the Log File (similar to Kernel32 in a PC) from the phone which will become dead and the screen will only say, 'Please consult your dealer' or something to that effect.Read More
