Mobile phone, Internet and hotmail invention added revolution in communication word. In same way, Short Message Service (SMS) is a cost-effective facility provided by the telecom companies to the subscribers to send instant message.
Generally, all of us know about the SMS services. It's not a voice facility. It transfers message in text form.
All telecom companies have different schemes for users in same network and in other network. Generally if you are a Hutch subscriber and want send SMS to Airtel subscriber, you has to pay more. But in same networks, you pay less.
Airtel, Reliance, BSNL, Hutch, Idea, Tata indicom, all has SMS facility in their network..
SMS becomes more beneficial when burden on balance due to heavy calls. Generally calls cost more than SMS. So we can transfer more thoughts through SMS in ending session of the balance.
SMS also helpful for those who don’t want to see eachother face and listen anything. They can transfer important messages without saying a word from mouth.
We transfer jokes, fun and comments through SMS. This makes a good link between friends and appreciation for each other.
Last year (In April 2005), Airtel introduced one paisa per SMS scheme. It was great hit. Most of my friends became crazy about SMS. Even due to such a low cost SMS facility created distance between friends. We start talking less. We transferred our feelings through SMS from two adjacent beds. We stop hitting doorbells. Just sended SMS '' Gate per khada hoon, Kholo''. Our even and odd sms collection crossed the limit of cellphone.
And there was no any cut (even 1 paisa) in one of our Simcard. Free SMS by default.
Now, this facility is provided by the Reliance in Pune (one paisa SMS). But billing is improper in Reliance. May be during the time limit, your SMS disable and service disrupted. Also Reliance provided only 140 character transferring facility in Samsung slim mobile phone set. It’s a drawback of Reliance.
SMS are also fruitful when anyone want to make new relationships with another. If you get reply of your SMS from other's, is good indications for friendship (in some extent). If not, SMS protect you from unwanted, cruel, abusive and strict words to hear.
More than one rupee charge per SMS is not a good practice to promote service by the subscribers. If cost will be more, why SMS, we can call. Also there are many irregularities happen in SMS billing by Reliance (Pune) and Airtel in some places. This creates anxiety.
I forgot to wish birthday of one of my friend in March. She has wished my birthday at 12.01 a.m.. Now, I was in trouble when remembered her birthday after two days. That's my fault but I didn't want to hear furious or claiming words. So sended SMS '' When is your birthday? I really forgot. Plz don’t cry on me when I will call you''. She was cool when I called her. SMS helped me.

SMS is a good way to communicate when you don't want to disturb your family after 1.00 o'clock in the night. Before going to bed, normally I do some SMS. It's in routine. SMS shift differences between friends and relatives. They make sense for re-talk and re-warm.
SMS is the best mean to communicate in colleges. Public is crazy about new and innovative sms. MMS is improved version of SMS. It transfers video clips with voice. Now MMS has no good image. So don't transfer MMS, do only SMS.
Telecom companies charging more than said for doenloading of wallpaper and ringtones. Always they cut more than required and time limit surpass during downloads. This is a technique to reduce the subscribers balance as soon as possible. So beware of the numbers publish in newspapers. Many numbers (Like 8888) offer to download the songs of new release. You can download but from some extra cost.
