I took the card 2 years back with great expectations... and thank God I have luckily escaped with a fradulent transaction and some atrocious service (which started from day 1, continued through the fraud days, & just refused to improve in spite of my best efforts... )

I agree with Yogesh 100%. Going through a similar experience. First they did not respond to my multiple complaints of poor service; then when I finally got a service call, it happens to be a fraudster who got all my personal details from SBI. SBI won't take reponsibility for that, nor for the amount... that was defrauded, just keep blaming me only. ANd then even after I paid all the dues for the defrauded amount, they keep collecting latefees & finance charges for all the time the complaint was going on. When I call up service center & request, they waive a small portion of finance charge as an apparent favor, then add another 500 rupees as late fees, which he says only nodal iffcer can do something., And then the nodal officer writes nice letters saying 'We do hope that despite this occurred incident you would-not think unkindly of us and we will get the opportunity to serve you in the future under more favorable circumstances. We understand the concern expressed in your communication and sympathizes with the difficulties faced by you'. I think they are poor on all counts - system security, service, compalint resolution, customer friendliness. Only the last letter from the nodal officer had something positive - usage of very flowery honeycoated albeit insincere words to nicely say that we don't care & we are here to screw you up... I had already got the card cancelled, as once officer confirmed to me, but still others who are calling are unable to confirm if the card is really cancelled. I have finally got fed up & cleared all my dues, including the defrauded amount, finance charges & all the latefees month after month they have levied on me, but I am sure they will soon send me another bill saying something or other. Of course, SBI may be the biggest nationalised bank in India, but sorry their Credit card section is the once who have proved to be the worst.
