I own Vista Aura QJD and have 45k KMs on it. and I am very very glad to say that I am proud owner of this car and very happy with my decision. No doubt Tata Service is not par but there is art to get it done from. My car runs problem free and buttersmooth. No rattling at all. Even small damaged plas...tic I can manage to get it replaced under warranty. Every car has problems but owner should know art of maintenance. My 2 roomies have Swift DDiS and compared to their service quality I can say that I get royal treatment from Tata Motors. Often due to personality problems the poor car suffers.Read More

Hi Rajeshuppu, I know this very basic difference. It's car that matters more but we consider engine as a main part for comparison. For layman it does not matter which engine it is whether it is TDi or Common Rail. What matters is mileage, pickup, performance etc. No doubt swift has all things ...better but it does not justify it's high price. And Quadrajet is very good deal instead goind for Swift. Better VFM package... I tried to explain the car difference. Not what is under the hood. I think you should read the whole review.Read More

TDi is no less than other diesel competitors. It pulls good and never feels underpowered. You will love TDi also. Only TDi sound penetrates into cabin more than quadrajet. But I think it is bearable and not a cause of worry as I said earlier. Gear shifts are great and has a short throw. No problem i...n gears at all. Miles ahead of old Indica V2Read More

After much negotiations in PCMC area you get Vista TDi for 4.18 lakhs with Rs.7k accessories free. I got Vista Aura Quadrajet for 5.10 lakhs with extended warrenty, Keyless entry, teflon coating, mud flaps, floor mats and filming. It's a good bargain I think

Friends, My Vista Story proceeded in a different way... I booked Vista Aqua TDi, But one thought came in the mind that I should increase my budget and go for Quadrajet. I was satisfied with TDi but I thought what would happen if I get increased performance and ummm factor for my car engine. So after... lot of thinking I asked dealer for Aqua Quadrajet next day. But on second next day. I thought Thoda aaur... thoda aaur.... then I finally changed to Aura Quadrajet. So friends.. now finally I will get my Aura Quadrajet Next week,Read More

Rattling sound comes when some plastic part is loose and it is very difficult to find when it is at interior. One my friend has Swift VDi and in that also some rattling sound comes from somewhere near glove box. Service guys at Maruti are unable to fix this problem till date. And as this is new car ...there will be problem in availability in spare parts. Just you need patience. I am sure this problem will solved. And about mileage, you will not get as good as swift but these figures will improve after second servicing. You will get like 16 in city and 21 to 22 on highway. And I would suggest that, never repent on a decision once maid.Read More

Indica Vista has some advantages like excellent paint quality and Body quality. It is better than Maruti cars. You can judge by just touching it. These cars are safer have very rigid framed structure. And one advantage as I said earlier, Gas filled shockabsorbers. These shocks improve ride q...uality, handling, stability and are maintenance free. And mainly they reduce road and tire noise in the cabin. Just do little more exploration in this area. Getz and Hyndai Accent have gas filled shock absorbers.Read More

Some people say, infact I said earlier in my review. Tata Indica Vista plastic quality is very inferior. But you go in the car which is customer owned then you will feel that this is not the case. Infact plastic quality is very good. Cars which are for testdrive at dealers always have some problems ...because these cars fail quality pass at Tata Motors. And instead of reworking they sale it to dealers with less price for Test Drive purpose. Some of you may have experienced that these Test Drive cars have improper door and other problems. But cars delivered to you are very good in quality.Read More

Some Maintenance problems were in old Indica. Like Wheel alignment, Tire Eating and Engine problem. I meet up with dozens of Indica Owners. Wheel alignment and tire eating problems are solved in year 2005 itself. Ask new indica owners you will know. Todays Tata Engines are very refined and maintenac...e free. I asked number of Indica V2 owner who are taxi drivers. One said he has covered 1.5 lakh kilometeres in 2 years. He said no problem at all. He just followed regular servicing cycles. Another said he has covered 80K kms in 8 months. But car still runs good without any maintenance. You also ask taxi drivers or Indica Owners. Another thing, concern about TATA Service. Tata Service has been improved over the time. They are considered one of the best. Atleast better than Hyundai, Ford service centers. And unfortunately if Engine problem comes after 5 or 6 years. Then TATA offers new engine at half the price. TDi engine comes at Rs.30k. So in that way you have new engine at very little cost. But I am sure that this time would never come.Read More

One common myth in everybody's mind is TATA taxi image. You know for taxi generally low end cheapest diesel cars are choice for commercial drivers. And TATA has old Indica V2 for this purpose. Because this is great bargain at 3.5 lakhs. For the same purpose Indica Vista does not come in white color.... I got this news from my friend in TATA motors who is Strategy Head in TATA motors. And why should we worry about this? After it's owner who want to drive the car. Nowdays you can see WagonR and Swift LDi's as a Taxi also. In western country's Mercedes cars are Taxi's. I would request remove this frame of mind.Read More

I have taken Saffire test drive. I don't feel it feels underpowered. I found it is better for city driving conditions and Indica Vista has one advantage of stability. It feels very firm on road. If you are looking for Petrol then this is the best option I think. Because I say it is much better than ...WagonR and A-star. I have not test driven i10. But I want to assure that it does not feel underpowered at all though engine specifications are on lower side. It has more than sufficient power. With this and space, stability, interior and external looks I think Indica Vista saffire is good bargain in petrol cars. One thing we need to remove from our mind is the Tata Taxi image. Buy a car which fits for your needs not for others mind.Read More

One fine thing is that sony has added a headset in its accessories which can act as GPS input to your phone. This headset comes at price of Rs.4000 around. Your phone turns into fully functional GPS device. All latest SE phones has this feature. This feature could be very useful in coming future as ...prices of headset drops further. Otherwise you have to spend more than 10k for GPS device. and carrying two devices together your phone and GPS device. But imagine your phone acts for dual reason then it would be really cool. Current GPS phones have higher price range. You would get this facility to this SE phone with some bucks extra. I am sure that price would get dropped in near future to Rs.2k. Headset name is SE GPS Enabler HGS-100. It's size is as equal as current HPM-70 headset.Read More
