Hi Visanwer, I own a Fiat Linea Emotion pack Diesel and have found no trouble with its power so far. I have now driven 1500kms and get an average of 17kms in city and 21 on highways. Also I find the diesel engine a bit quieter now as I think it is settling down slowly which was a bit of surprise and... unexpected. I guess it is due to the world class most advanced little Multijet engine working and getting popular all over. You feel it underpowered because in India everyone goes for a big race on the roads like kids rather then enjoying the drive. Linea is a technology masterpiece with lot of advanced features which you will not find in any other car with this price tag. Even the new Cruze falls on the looks and shape which is similar to something common like ANHC. What is the use of an expensive powerful car when there is no discipline on Indian roads and traffic jams around you. Blue&Me is fantastic innovation from Fiat and is a must in every car and I did not find any trouble using it. You have just bought a classic sedan just right for Indian roads. However issues should be immediately reported to the dealer and make sure that you insist on resolving them quickly. Don't worry , just give some time and you will start admiring it .Take it on long drives and see the difference. All the best mate.Read More

Linea performance - 14th Oct 09 Folks, Just completed 1300 kms on my Linea diesel Emotion + . Had been driving consistently covering 60 kms daily and I would not hesitate to state that the car is an absolute powerhorse. Strong and sturdy to cut through all curves and corners with its fantastic... steering wheel response . In fact you won’t believe that I have also started liking the diesel engine noise when you rev up initially and it has its own unique firing. Usually I would drive slowly initially in the city and when I arrive on the highways , I align it and then start to push the accelerator. I can actually feel like being in an aircraft when it starts to roll on the runway with its engine noise. Once you are in the fifth gear , the noise reduces and the car literally flies with its amazing power . I have managed to leave Swifts , Skodas and Marutis behind . I am sure with its strong built, these light cars would be shaking when a Linea in high speed passes by due to its weight. What I learnt is to have lot of patience at first as Linea is a bit slow in initial pickup but this soon vanishes when it picks up momentum. Other good thing I observed is the coolant which is still at the same level when I took the delivery almost two months back and with no fall in the level mark. This shows that the car is indeed maintenance free. The car has been through rough roads and the suspension and braking is super efficient. Overall I feel the car has been put at rigorous tests at all levels and so far it has not let me down. Now waiting for my first service at 3000kms where I intend to change the oils although Fiat doesn’t recommend it and I am not surprised at all. I would like to know experience of other Linea diesel owners as well in terms of riding comfort and any problems with car suspensions on bad / rough / uneen roads with potholes. THE VERDICT WOULD BE THAT FIAT HAS FINALLY MADE IT WITH THIS BEAUTY WITH BRAINS and I just pray that they continue to provide gRead More

Hi bkb.gk9, I guess the price difference is due to octroi charges applicable at actuals which varies between different states in India. Gents, Thanks for sharing your views and thoughts on Linea. So far so good. I have just completed 450 Kms and no trouble so far. I am still browsing the... owners's handbook to get to know more about the car and its handling as this is my first diesel sedan. I have been driving on highways approx covering 50-60 kms to and fro and noticed that the car has exceptional stability. I have just installed a reverse parking visual camera ( colour ) which provideds a good view behind and seems to be useful while reverse parking. Looking forward to shield the screens now from heat as it is getting hotter now in Mumbai. Any suggestions on sunscreen with reasonable price tag ??? Also kindly share your thoughts on frequent gear shifting in busy city like Mumbai would have any performance impact on the car and its engine wear and tear. I am still exploring the advantages of the Multijet engine which is advanced in diesel technology. Thanks.Read More

Linea is a modern 'Ambassador' car in disguise and we all know that such cars are suitable for Indian roads. Linea's body is rock solid and is heavy . Further with modern Multijet engine tech you now get an exceptional mileage. It has fusion looks with curvy body and vintage finish specially the fron...t grill. Fiat logo looks great. Some people may feel it as underpowered but I am sure you will start liking it once you start driving and using its features. Regarding after sales service , I hope Fiat will keep on improving its standards and they are definitely much better now.Read More

Well 945000 is what it is as on road price for fully loaded diesel Linea in Mumbai. Further , the price is justified by the fact that it has comfort and features such as rear AC vents for rear passenger comfort and blue&me technology which you will not find in this segment class in any other car.I a...m getting a mileage of 14 KM/L in city itself. So highway mileage should be pretty amazing. You will definitely not find this in any other sedan for this price. And you will not believe that just five minutes back while I am writing this comment , my two friends booked Linea changing their minds from Toyota Corolla and Skoda . Honda City is too far to be compared......We are all now planning a long trip to Matheran from Mumbai with our Red , Black and Silver beauties....once the vehicles are delivered.Read More

Absolutely fabulous car .Don't think just get it ...... I recently bought LINEA Emotion pack Diesel fully loaded and from day one I fell in love with it. To be honest I did not feel like taking a test drive of any other car after I drove Linea. I would say one of the best sedan in class today on In...dian roads. Staff from Wasan Motors Mumbai were extremely helpful and I would say the service has improved a lot after merger with Tata . After taking delivery of the vehicle , it did develop a minor snag with one of the power windows but was rectified immediately by Wasan Motors service center within an hour free of cost. All intact with a very professional service. The car does lag at 2nd gear but picks up quickly after it reaches a required RPM. Driving on highway is a breeze and you will notice turning heads to your Linea as other cars pass by. AC is fantastic and has adequate cooling . Electricals perform brilliantly and the car suspensions are really hard and good which I think is a must for Indian roads.Diesel engine is almost noiseless and I keep on reving up the accelarator to check whether the engine is running or not. I think it is the best buy for Indian conditions so far if you have a budget between 5 to 10 lacs. I feel there is no comparison to Linea today with such advanced features in that budget . Whenever I lock my Linea in the evening to walk home, I just turn back a while to look at the red curvy beauty standing gracefully among Hondas and Vernas and Skodas etc which are in no comparison at all. I am sure your family will like it too as much you will do. Go for it .......Read More
