If the showroom people ask you to buy acccesories, why do you buy them if you don't want? Accessories are very costly in Popular. It is cheaper to buy outside.

The salesman also charged me Rs 1200 as commission for registering my car although it was actually free. Popular sucks big time!!!

But I should add that I am not that satisfied with the dealer - Popular Automobiles Trivandrum. Although the third service is free, they charged me Rs 750, though I have also opted to have a one year service agreement. Their service on getting my car registered was also far from satisfactory.

17 kmpl is too high with AC at normal conditions. I get 14.5 without AC and 14 with AC in normal conditions (city + highway). But highway alone I got 22 kmpl once, at constant speed for about 100 kms (with premium petrol) at 50 kmph in 5th gear!!!

Wow, This car has high mileage. I got a max of 22 kmpl at 5th gear at constant 50 kmph with 2 persons inside. I get an average of 14.5 kmpl without AC and 14 kmpl with AC. I can overtake at 3rd gear at a steep incline, and at 4th gear can go as slow as 20 kmph without knocking. Simply superb car...Read more
