I have been an employee and a Account holder of ICICI bank, I left the bank in Feb 2007 and still using the services because I know from Inside.
Internet Banking- Its unmatched whether in security, use and speed.
Phone Banking - Its good used it twice (My account status is not STAFF anymore)
ATM - You will get everywhere, they fill it up on sunday's also which is not in the case of any other bank..I am holding account in HDFC and kotak also.The moment you withdraw money and just turn back there is a message on mobile....In HDFC it comes immediately after 4 hours.
One more thing..you cannot get a fake note from ICICI ATM...They dont load unsorted notes in ATM which is not in the case of HDFC or any Private sector Bank, ICICI Bank Uses only machine sorted notes for ATM.
Branch Banking - Its much more better than Govt Banks or nay private sector Bank.Due to rush you may feel it takes time but as and when ur number comes they serve you quicker than others.
What not to use---
ICICI Direct...slow site..more charges
ICICI HFC -- Its a separate Division and lots of reviews are posted.
Few Words about how to tackle...
Statements Not reached---Check out your address first, Is it correct?if not get it changed fill up a form and it will get changed in a single day without any supporting document if it is older than six months.
QAB charged---Every Newspaper, channel and media shuoted from tip when ICICI raised the QAB
if you can maintain then its no problem, else change your bank..there is no point in shouting on Mouthshut about QAB.
Internet Banking---Everybody must get it...Use it and you dont need to have a dharna outside ICICI Bank or any Bank for Statement, Email id and phone No updation.You can transfer funds across any scheduled bank in India.
Phone Banking---Use it for simple querries..dont wait for half an hour just for a simple question.
ATM----You can use it for withdrawing money, transfering funds and getting a statement.
Finally a word about loan divisons...
If you have taken a loan then use netbanking and get your all details posted there...If you need clarification..write from netbanking.. Don't panic..ICICI will respond...first raise a query...if not satisfied then raise a complaint.
About Recovery Agents. The bank issues loans from the depositors money...It gives you all loans when you need it and had no personal avenues for that...Then why the hell there is always problem in paying that?
One first default..the bank intimates the customer..(You also know whether you have money or not..when your check bounces back or not)...you can deposit cash. Still ignored the call goes to collection agencies..they call up first to pay and then act. Those who say ICICI bank goes after customer life if the cheque bounce are lying. We have presented customer cheques thrice before going for collection calls.
May be there are thousands of negative reviews posted here. May be It is a really bad bank. But get down to reality and come out of May's. Roll-over to any Branch of ICICI. Lots of customers are there banking upon it, retail, corporate and lots more.
The thing is use all channels available..and use credit responsibaly.
