Reviewed Don Juan DeMarco Movie

Jul 05, 2009 02:21 AM 1433 Views

So Don Juan DeMarco is a romantic comedy. But the "romcom" label fails to do it justice. Johnny Depp plays a suicidal man who believes he is the greatest lover in the World. He enters an institution and Marlon Brando is the doctor on the brink of retirement who takes on the case. The interact...Read more

... whilst I raved about my reduced fuel consumption I forgot that I fixed on the Ermax screen about the same time as I took the baffle out. Not so strange then!

I am surprised you found no performance gain. My CBF definitely feels quicker... or perhaps I'm deluding myself or my speedo is deceiving me! I am now running without the baffle as my local dealer reckoned the fuel injection would compensate for the reduced back pressure. My CBF went in for its 2500... mile service recently and the dealer had to download a new map for the ECU. The exhaust might be the cause for this. Anyway it is going well. I just hope the dealer is right about the injection. Incidentally before I removed the baffle I was getting 102mpg almost every tankfull (give or take 2 or 3 mpg). The last 2 fill ups since I removed the baffle I have got 111mpg each time. How strange is that? I didn't find any leaks on fitment and I didn't need the hematite sealant I bought specially for the job. But you've go me wondering if I just didn't notice so I'll check the joint you mentioned.. The GPR is tempting... but it's a lot of money and I can't find any reviews for them online. It feels like a £150 risk. I'm hoping some UK retailer starts selling them so there would be some sort of guarantee.Read More

I had a diesel engine Grande Punto as a rental car for a week. I was very impressed with it on the motorway. It cruised like a bigger car and the fuel economy was excellent. You are right though that it is sluggish under acceleration. I suspect that the weight which makes it drive so well on the mot...orway dents the performance a bit. I liked the looks though. The model I tried was a gunmetal grey and it looked good: quite understated and classy.Read More

Nice posting As I get older I realise that being a good father is very important to me and I recognise the role of my own father in making me the person I am today. As for being patient helpful and strong... well I try!

PAKISTAN TRIUMPHS @ T20 World CUP

T20 ... so sad it is over What a joy it has been to have the T20 in England! The sell out crowds show how this format of cricket appeals to a wide audience who otherwise would never dream of going to a cricket match. I have enjoyed every minute. At least we have the Ashes to look forward to...

A new screen for the Honda Stunner

Jun 21, 2009 11:39 PM General 1968 Views

I never really understood the front fairing on the Honda Stunner (CBF125). Undoubtedly it improves the looks of the bike, but functionally it added nothing and is just something else you need to remove during maintenance. Then on a French website I saw the Ermax screens. Available in two heights ...Read more

Hi, Forgot to mention... I bought the exhaust direct off Devil in France by mail order. http://www.devil-exhaust.co.uk/ Cost about £260 I think. Delivery was slow and they only responded to my chase email when I rewrote it in French! Otherwise I am very pleased...

Hi, The Devil exhaust is very good. It fitted easily, looks great and the quality is top notch. As it comes the exhaust has a baffle in the muffler which is retained by a single rivet. This is to make it quiet enough for it to be road legal. I drilled out the rivet and replaced it with a nut and ...bolt. I then tried the exhaust with and without the baffle. With the baffle the exhaust sounds better than the original... without it the sound is fabulous but very loud. As for performance, the CBF is noticeably quicker with the exhaust and baffle but I think no better than standard with the baffle removed. I suspect the motor runs a bit lean without the baffle and it needs a power commander or similar. I run the CBF with the baffle and I am delighted with the sound, performance and looks. Shane about the 4 week wait for delivery though.Read More

The YBR and the CBF are so similar in performance it almost comes down to which brand you prefer or which dealer is closer. Personally I like both Yamaha and Honda bikes but tend to believe that Honda build quality is better.

England Soccer Fan Gets Shot

Jun 09, 2009 01:59 AM General 564 Views

At the weekend an England soccer fan was asked to stop singing in a bar in Kyrgyzstan before the England match against Kazakhstan. He refused so a local shot him in the leg with a pistol. Presumably this replaced the sound of bad English singing with the noise of a drunk Englishman screaming and swe...Read more
