Based on Chetan Bhagat's book by the same name, the basic premise is simple. Whereas the world over, a marriage involves girl & boy falling in love, in India you don't get married to an individual but you get married to a family. Hence, the process is that much longer especially when the communi...Read more

Do something instead of Mourning!!!

Jan 16, 2014 07:01 PM

Sad but true Your incident is not an isolated case. While I don't condone the guard's laxity, there are some gaps which I wanted to check with you. Did you report this to the Police? If not, your solution was only temporary as that guy now knows from where he should follow her. Since there were 3 of... you (& I assume he was alone), why didn't you confront him there itself and scare him forever? Women must first be self reliant instead of expecting some outsider to help. If you had made a noise first, the guard would have joined in and added to your strength.Read More

Am still wondering what hit me. Am a fan of Ranbir’s acting. His film ‘Rocket Singh’ is one of my favorites. And then there is this. Truly a family film with Ranbir & his real life parents trying many puerile acts mainly revolving around the ‘back hole’ & ‘men’opause to give us a laugh. Left the...Read more

After the fiasco of 'Once Upon A Time - Dobaara', Akshay is back to what he does best i.e. being a comedy action king giving laughs and fights even if there is not much of a story in place. Add to that Mithun Da & Danny who have always been underrated & you have a film that is worth watching nev...Read more

Ajeet - As I mentioned in the review, the concept is indeed good; the execution has gone awry.

If you need an example of a film with promise going down the drain, this is one of those. The film’s 1st half built up the issues well – a businessman (Ajay Devgan) who believes money defines success, his friend who is a gold medallist who chooses to work in the Government sincerely, the friend’...Read more

The film is inspired by the reality of Srilankan Tamil Eelam history. The film has generated a lot of controversy in Tamil Nadu with people there feeling it shows one party to the history in bad light. They are partly right because the film is an eulogy to one man’s devotion to his work which is...Read more

Sweet memories .. Thank u Lovely blog; yes; its been a long time since i went back to my school days (in thoughts i mean). It also makes you feel silly when you think of the fear you had those days for an incomplete howework or a low score in test as if that was the end of the world.

Have seen covert ads in many films – usually showing a coke being asked for or in the background as a poster and at one extreme jingles of various ads in a song. But this time it has been taken to a new level with Maruti brand & especially Ertigo being promoted throughout the film. That having b...Read more

saw the film yesterday; total masala as u portrayed; but the thought that i was left with after he film was the portrayal of women in it - some dialogues where he says to chunni imply that women must stay in the house & bear kids - something which they will hopefully avoid in Dabaang 3.

One of the most anticipated films of this year, Talaash does not disappoint in terms of the plot, acting & screenplay. The promos have been kept slick (like Kahaani earlier this year) revealing very little about the subject. The movie, for most part, revolves around 2 Talaash (searches) by the p...Read more
