i dont mean to sound defensive of my phone...perhaps u are right but when i compare its positives with the fact that nokia operating systems do hang once in while (n 95 much less than others), i still dont regret my decision. I havent used sony ericsson ever, so my comparison is essentially amongst ...other nokia models and samsung which i recently used. Yep..i do miss the 'password protection'...is the feature available with Sony Ericsson phones ?Read More

hi faisal, thanks for the compliments. Its been over a month that i've been using nokia n 95 now and no complaints so far. Infact i had to take an interview recently for a magazine (am a journalist) and the photographer didnt turn up in time. I ended up taking the pics from my phone cam and the i...nterviewee was very skeptical (obviously)....thankfully the pics came out great..even good enough for printing. So go ahead and gift it to your wife but one advice...get an extra charger installed in her car too...the battery gets eaten up quite fast ..the only shortcoming..... good luck sonalRead More

hi, i pretty much agree with whatever you say in your review. I watched the movie last week and felt that it signifies the 'coming of age' not for hindi movies in general but a niche segment of bollywood movies.....the kinds shown in multiplexes. Such movies find an immediate acceptance amongst... those audience which have anyway adapted to so called 'changing times' by watching hollywood movies for years now. And this acceptance suits the movie makers just fine..cz with the growing numbers of multiplex audience, its fetching them good money too. A movie like 'bheja fry', made on a modest budget has earned five times over. So i guess its a win win situation..both for the makers and for these audience who do not have to wait for the next romantic comedy starring tom hanks and meg ryan to hit theatres. The movie goers in sapna cinema at bhagalpur, meanwhile, are not at a loss either, they get their fill by watching the big B act 'to their taste' in Ganga, the latest bhojpuri flick. Good times for all i guess !!Read More

thanks so much for sharing the info..i did have a vague idea abt the difference but ur explanation has made it much clearer. So i guess no phone cams can compare with a proper digicam in that respect. However, i do maintain that the camera quality in n95 is still better than all the other phone cams... i've ever tried..and that's quite a handful of them... thanks again...:))Read More

hi nitin was rather shocked to read about your experience. You should not have paid up for such shabby service ..but i guess you are right..when one is with family, one prefers not to create a scene. But the attitude of the restaurant manager is despicable and you shouldnt let go...i suggest you ...go there again with a group of friends and check out if that's the usual behaviour of that man...alert the owner of the restaurant before you do this and let him/her watch it with their own eyes......they need to throw such a man out....Read More

i have seen my friend use the Moto Rokr and that's surely a great phone too... The 5 MP camera in nokia n 95 indeed gives a much better picture quality as compared to whatever i have seen so far..i compared two pics..one taken with a canon digicam (5 mp) and the same shot taken with n95...couldnt r...eally tell a diff if the lighting etc was good. Showed it to my friends too and some of them couldnt even make out which one was taken with the phone cam. yep..optical zoom is a miss but then i have always believed that zooming to a distant object invariably distorts picture quality anyway, be it any digicam...its better to walk up closer to the object as far as possible.. As for the battery,...well..that's a slight bit of a problem with n95 (probably so with all n series phones)..it gets over quite fast and i have got an extra charger installed in my car too...since my mobile is quite new...i and my friends keep exploring all options quite often, so that could be another reason for the battery getting eaten up so quick....Read More

hey ruthvika...am glad u found my review useful. Hope your experience with nokia n95 is also as good as mine. One thing...the faux leather case which comes with the phone is useful for saving your phone from scratches etc but isnt very good looking....so if u wanna make an impression ...use without ...the cover for a while ...Read More

My husband and I purchased a Nokia N95 each exactly a week after the phone was launched in India. I sold off my one month old Samsung P310 (the credit card sized phone) for 3000 bucks lesser than what I had paid for it, and shelled out another 19000 bucks to buy nokia n 95 for Rs 34000. Most of ...Read more
