My husband and I purchased a Nokia N95 each exactly a week after the phone was launched in India. I sold off my one month old Samsung P310 (the credit card sized phone) for 3000 bucks lesser than what I had paid for it, and shelled out another 19000 bucks to buy nokia n 95 for Rs 34000. Most of my friends thought I was making a mistake at buying the phone at such a high cost...and I was flooded with comments like 'the price would fall by 50% in the next 6 months' and that 'nokia n series phones are infamous for hanging in the middle of a process'. All these made me quite uncomfortable as I had already spent so much on the phone..
But thankfully, all these fears were unfounded.......I have been using the phone for over a month now and there hasnt been a single moment that I have regretted my decision. The phone did hang once during this period but I guess that happens more with all other models too..anyway. One thing I miss in this as compared to my samsung mobile is the absence of a privacy feature whereby the files and messages folder etc can be password protected. This feature was quite good in the samsung phone...especially because if you happen to be carrying a newly launched mobile phone model in hand, even strangers at times want to check it out and one doesnt feel like sharing personal photos or messages with all...
However, a wider display, great interface and a wonder ful 5 megapixel camera in nokia n 95 makes up for every other inadequacy. Nokia could have done a better job with the look of the phone but I guess they seem to have realised and amended that in nokia 96....
Anyway, i'm pretty satisfied with my nokia n 95........great phone..great functionality.....worth a buy if you are looking for a phone in this price range.
