With all due respect sir, you are wrong about playing 20 games at the time 'for free'. The actual limit is seven! As to the rating system it is an elo system just like the system most other free chess sites on the Internet use. As to the rest of your 'review' it seems more an advertisment for c...orrespondence chess than an actual critque of the services gameknot touts as 'Free'. Perhaps you should try www.freechess.org (FICS) [free internet chess server] if you want an excelent internet chess site. Not only do they not have 'paid' options, there motto is, 'We do it for the game, not the money' There is no advertising.... gameknot offers the option of removing the adver...tising, but at a price. You speak of 'time controls' yet you may play email chess nearly anywhere. As well, you have not had the opportunity yet of being accuse by the admins of breaking rules that you did not break. Fear not, I am confident that sooner or later GameKnot.com will show you their truly ugly side.Read More

Perhaps muppyman should also read my review. Thank goodness I never paid these people any money. I may only empathise with rgautier and imagine how I would feel if I had paid for a membership.
