Even though they have the newest cabs and are said to be one of the largest in Mumbai, they are extremely unreliable. They will take your booking and then half an hour before the pickup time, will call you to say that cab is not available in your area. This has happened twice with me in the p...Read more

They goof up on prices at times. I had to call them up and sort it out once. But they rectified the error without any hassle. So check the MRP and what you paid. Fruits and vegetables are priced way higher than local market so order only if unavoidable. Good option for grocery and other products...Read more

I bought a Philips Universal Remote model no. SRU 5130 from Vijay Sales in Mumbai around a month back. This remote was supposed to work on TV, DVD and Set Top Box. This is what was told to me by the sales person. However, I later found it was not working on the set top box even though the brand was ...Read more

Ajaya, if u can get it cheaper from US, go for it. It is basically like buying in grey here... In fact u can get it for around 16,500/- in grey in Mumbai too. Conversion rings are available for 50-200 bucks in Mumbai. I don't know about the price of the closeup lens. These are not yet availab...le in India. Read More

Noticed one thing in this camera... Compared to Canon, the default image is a bit soft. Though nothing major, it can be corrected easily in Photoshop or some other editing software. Canon applies greater punch by default to the images. In this camera you can alter the settings in the Picture Adjustm...ent menu to get a sharper/punchier image by default. Change the saturation/contrast/sharpness level settings.Read More

Swapnesh, congrats on getting a good camera! There is no particular way of learning photography. You could use some books, join classes or check techniques on the net. Ultimately you will learn only after a lot of clicking and making a lot of mistakes... Luckily these days the cameras are so good th...ere is not much chance of getting a really bad photo. I started out with a basic film point & shoot and then used a manual film SLR for a long time. The SLR really taught me a lot. A couple of books along the way helped in getting a hang of the basic concepts. I think good composition solves half the problems. Focus on knowing more about shutter speed, aperture, ISO, zoom range etc. You could check out weekend courses too.Read More

Flash is good. Quite powerful going by point & shoot standards. Good for fill in and general usage. In all built-in flashes, the range limit is around 10-15 feet. So expecting anything beyond that would be wrong.

These days most cameras will give you very good results. In fact is difficult for the big manufacturers to make a camera which will actually give you bad photos... :-) Sony is a pretty good player in the digicam market though it is not exactly in the league of Canon, Panasonic and Nikon yet. My pers...onal opinion purely! Most problems which the website reviews talk of in images do not affect you in the day to day clicking. Only if you do a lot of serious clicking and in full resolutions, will you notice some of the faults they talk of such as purple fringing etc. So basically most branded digicams will give you acceptable results in normal day to day clicks. SLRs can not be compared to point & shoots. They are a different category. No doubt the image quality of an SLR is much better... after all the bigger sensors are there for a purpose! You have to see what's your requirement and budget. SLRs are still heavy, need multiple lenses for achieving a substantial zoom range and are not very cheap yet. Even today a decent SLR package would cost you around 40K to start with... The lenses which come with the kit are not good. You will need to invest in separate lenses. But then, the results are also in accordance... If you want a bit of video too in your camera, SLRs are not for it. They are entering the domain but still some time to go before all can afford an SLR with video capability.Read More
