UPDATE - I switched off the company email form the phone as this was the most voluminious email account in terms of the size of the data. After this apparently there are no serious issues with the phone. Which means the basic thing that the phone is supposed to do is not handled by the OS. No...t sure why do they call it a business phone :)Read More

noviceatwork- Note that in general I find Nokia phones to be fantastic. Even with the E5 I love the way Nokia has designed the keyboard and the way you easily change capital/small as well as numeric input. I think this is done really well and intuitive. However, I could figure out more things only A...FTER I read the manual (such as using Control C to copy). The problem with BlackBerry that I have experienced is as regards its browser. Which to me is a key requirement in a business phone. Note that though I never used the BlackBerry, I work with a company that specializes in mobile software and I had a chance to use different BlackBerry devices as well as simulators. Of late BlackBerry has come out with a reasonably good browser in the new BlackBerry 6 OS (the new Torch has it however, have not checked how it works). gs_smith- No update on the hanging issue - however, I am quite satisfied with the Battery life and the connectivity the phone offers (as well as Sync of contacts which is pretty good and a MUST have in my opinion so you can switch phones easily!) I did ignore a piece of information from another friend of mine who used to have an E72 phone. One day I found him to be using a BlackBerry and told me that the email is the best feature on a BlackBerry (which is why most people use it in the first place!). On querying him as to why he switched when E72 has GPS - his answer was it hangs! In general I am a kind of power user and perhaps have far more expectations from my phone than an average user may have. I expect that the phone provide me options so that I can configure the order of the menu items. I also found it irritating that the prediction option when turned on - also applies when you enter contact names which is ridiculous (you need to turn it off and turn it back on when you need to send an SMS for example) In my OPINION, Nokia has messed up the OS for E5 in that it does not handle multiple apps and this is the reason for the crRead More

I switched from using a Nokia 6300 (bought over 3 years ago for  Rs 12, 500/-) to Nokia E5.There were several reasons for switching over. While the 6300 phone was something I really liked, (it could even run Opera Mobile on it and connect to internet), I was unable to sync contacts to website an...Read more

are you sure that the camera is good - i am very happy with the phone except for its battery life and lousy camera - as other reviewers have mentioned- it gives grainy picture which does not feel like a 2MP camera at all esp compared with other Nokia models which have 2mp cameras.

I bought this player for two main reasons - One - it played ALL the disks that I tried on it. Having burnt my fingers trying a cheap chinese player bought on ebay - I wanted to go for a good branded product. The other main reason was its sleekness - I have not seen another player which is as ...Read more
