Hi Thanks for getting me right and properly understanding my real concern which is proper safety and vigil at the time of releasing the kid and not allowing them without verifying with whom they are going on EVERYDAY basis, and not leaving them on their own using their judgement hence leaving the...m vulnerable to any untoward incident. My concern is why kids are allowed to leave the school when their designated vehicle is not around be it a private auto-rickshaw, if a parent is late by 5 minutes due to unpredictable traffic jams, why can’t school authorities takes care of kid on their own, that at least kids should not be allowed ...to leave the premises until the designated vehicle/person arrives. Again you are reiterating the same point that private vehicle’s are not school’s responsibility BUT what I want to emphasize is that KIDS are school’s responsibility whether they travel in a private auto or a school bus. I have spoken to authorities of 3 other prominent schools and explained the scenario I faced here, but they all said whether the private vehicle or school bus, kids are accompanied and released with a proper process. There is no question of shunning away or disowning the responsibility of Kids safety. The point here is that the school authorities have not thought of such a process which is followed in most of the schools for small kids in the age group of 6-10 years. I again hope the issue will be taken with open mindedness instead of defensiveness and evasiveness and some sort of system can be established which lot of other schools are easily following to ensure safety of kids (using private auto-rickshaw at least at the time of releasing them.) -Thanks Read More

Studies and co-curricular activities are good here. BUT......Safety procedure at the time of releasing the kids need to be strengthened and be made more robust. The incident I experienced can happen with any parent. School authorities need to be more careful and importantly should feel responsib...le for safety of kids aftet the school hours at least for some time and Kids should not be allowed to leave the school gate without the notice of class teacher/peon that kid has boarded the designated vehicle or picked up by the right person. Lot of school are following the proper process for small kids of age 5- 10 years. This school also try to use their creative brains to establish such systems instead of shunning away from this basic responsibility sating that after 1:30 it is not their job and kid is on its own!!!!! I hope and pray good sense will prevail and we can feel our kids are in safe hands of learned and compassionate people having great sense of ownership (of well-being of kids). -ThanksRead More
