Brother Lewis, I feel sorry for you. how did you manage to Buy a second hand ford ikon for Rs. 80K, brilliant. you can't even buy a new bullet at that rate. looks like the sellers lucky day. Anyways after paying Rs. 80K, you were expecting that the car would last you 3-5 years of smooth riding sin...ce the cars previous owner had told. some questions for you...
1. Why did you narrow down to buy Ford Ikon with a low budget of 80K, you could have bought a maruti alto / 800 / van or santro.
2. did you have the car thoroughly checked by someone (thirdparty)
3. You should have known that ford service comes at a price.
4. Never cry or abuse the company if you have made the wrong decision.
5. if you know that maruti is a better choice why did you buy ford.
6. never expect lots from a 6-7 year old FORD, espicially when you have paid Rs. 80K for it.

Hi Jawahar, the ford ikon TDCi wouldnt be cheap on maintenance but on the flip side wouldnt be higher either, it further depends on your driving style, day to day maintenance, timely servicing, should keep the costs in control.

I believe Rohit is trying to compare price point cars rather than sedan vs. hatch, if i am getting ford ikon diesel sedan for 6 L why should i buy a hatch
