Data transfer in this phone via zune will be slow because it implicitly converts photos,videos etc to required format for optimal performance in the phone.You can only install apps,games purchased from windows market place.You cannot install anything you obtained outside windows ma...rketplace.
Through zune you can only sync photos and music. For documents,PDF downloaded from internet explorer in phone or skydrive app . For apps and games only via windows market place.
@geekhead83 I also tried the wi-fi hotspot feature in case of emergency at my place.It works every well.I am very much impressed.I also made an online purchase without a glitch. 3G connection gave very good speed.Read More

90% of the limitations you mention is already known to most buyers. Thats the way the phone is.
By the way skype is available in beta I am using it for past 1 month.
Yes it doesnt support java or flash to improve battery performance. You cant compare it with android.Android is a mature OS windo...ws phone is evolving. Please dont expect every open source feature in proprietry software.

@san0582 You have to upload/save all your doccuments in Skydrive . Install the skydrive app in your mobile.Using the skydrive app yu can retrive all those doccuments in your phone .Yu can even save music files in your skydrive and stream it from your skydrive(wifi) .
Regarding updates the next up...date expected is Tango(Date I am not sure maybe by june) .
The windows 8 update is called apollo (Expected by dec 2012) but I am not sure if the windows 7 phones will be able to upgrade to windows 8.

There is an option in message settings called group setting it should be off to avoid ordinary message getting sent as MMS. I have this setting off so there is no problem here.
You can store songs and videos up to 8 GB through Zune(all video formats are not supported only the ...formats supported by Zune). If you want to store more than 8 GB(6.67 GB of actual storage) you can store it on Microsoft SkyDrive and you can stream tour songs and videos from cloud(useful in WiFi networks).
So you can store store a total of 6.67 GB of music,videos photos,docs on your phone + an additional 25 GB on SkyDrive. This means you have a total storage space of 31.67gb in windows phone. Thus you can store 6.67 GB of content offline and 25 GB online .
Regarding buying it is your choice.I like this phone very much due to its speed and usability in social networks.If you can appreciate the differences and enjoy what’s on offer by Microsoft else you will be better off with an android.Read More

Even I am a subscriber to DEN. It is an excellent service and has the best customer care.
It has all the channels I need and I am delighted to have found it.The music collection is not working in my region due to some issues.Apart from this one issue every thing is fantastic.Picture quality excee...ds my expectation.

The Samsung Omnia W price in India is around 15200 Rs.It is also called Samsung Focus Flash in the US market.
I was a windows mobile 5.0 user some 4yrs ago .It was a QTEK S200 then. I will give you a different perspective rather than comparing it with android which you would have done already...Read more

It is definitely worth buying if you are on a tight budget and need 16 gb capacity for songs :) . But once you buy the mobile and if you are unlucky to get the variant I got with the 2gb sandisk card it will hang every moment . To solve this you got to use some other brand memory card... or take it to nokia care and get the software updated. The risk of buying the phone is that you may need to take it to nokia care immediately(So take into account those transportation charges and 2 hrs wait time at care center). Once the software is fixed the phone works very well.
In the latter review I mentioned about changing memory cards didnt help because I changed the memory card to another sandisk 2 gb card ;) .So I perceived the issue to exist in all brands.I cannot check against all brands.I ha only a sandisk 2gb with me which is the only card that had issues with nokia.So my generalization then was wrong.but now I am using another brand it works .
If you can take the risks I mentioned go for it.....It is a good mobile just that some Quality check guy in nokia dozed off when the mobile was tested.So the customers will have to run to nokia care.Read More

The issue of restart has been identified by Nokia.The restarts are due to the incompatibility of nokia with the 2gb sandisk card that was given with the box.
If you use any other brand of memory card the mobile will work like a charm.Just remove the 2gb sandisk and get a transcend , kingston ...Read more
