@locusjag : Thanks, cannot agree more with you... I remember an instance I faced with a 'Power Seller' on Ebay who had 4000+ positive ratings, almost nil negative feedback. I had a ordered a set of special cables from him, for flashing mobile phones. Unfortunately, the cables were defective and h...e did not agree to replace them. Instead, he said that I was not using those cables the way they should be. He also said that I was free to do whatever I want as he was already a trusted seller and no one would believe me. I thought of teaching him a lesson and along with a negative feedback, I wrote about him also on Ebay Community. The result was a pleasant surprise....he called me back and readily agreed to replace the cables. Well, moral of the story is that we simply cannot let a company/dealer escape with manufacturing defects and improper After-sales-support, even if it's just a one-off case, it should be acknowledged & supported. After all, it can be anyone of us and 65k for some, is their real hard-earned money.Read More

@UNIRIDER01 : I did read it carefully, and for everyone who reported this issue, it didn't happen on wet roads... Anyway, this getting into a war between truth & falsehood. So, I would like to end it here....my review was not for those who are happy with the bike.. of course there are many !! but... for those who should be aware about possible issues. Since we are all living in a happy Unicorn world...why bother about a stupid review like mine...it's one in a million case anyway. Period. :)Read More

@apkumar80 : Dude, I did mention that I still like one of my friend's old Unicorn ( which does have Monshock as well).... I feel no fears while riding it, simply bcoz it's stable and doesn't wobble like mine did. @UNIRIDER01 : What would I gain out of cooking a story... Well, no hard feelings, but ...any chance you work for Honda ? I believe mouthshut is not going to pay me for writing reviews & cooking up stories... If you are happy with your Unicorn so be it. I was well aware of the fact 93% people recommended the bike before writing a review. Still I went ahead for people to be aware of such problems...why do people have to feel offended by that ?Read More

So, decide for yourself.... I do not wish to enter into any arguement...after all , it's your money...Read More

@Unirider01 >> 1. Well , not really . In fact, I hate the sitting posture of 'P'. 2. As for bringing down the Japanese engine, let me tell you my friend, I test drove all the 150 cc bikes and found another 'Japanese' engine really-really good. It's GS150R. 3. There is no point convinc...ing a Uni rider, as he has already bought it :) BTW, I forgot to mention in my review that just as I decided to buy my Unicorn two years back, I was warned by a friend of mine not to buy it, as his brother too had slipped multiple times on his Unicorn. Also, I still love the old Unicorn spoke-version one of my friend has, which has absolutely no problems. I am not against any manufacturer. But my review was just a warning to those who will be buying the bike, and that too from the a particular dealer. As no manufactuere can guarantee a defect-free bike and that's the reason they offer a warranty along with it. It is the responsibility of the dealer to honour it though. Read More

Before I write further on my experience with Honda Unicorn,  it is pertinent to give a brief background on my biking experience. I am a 30-year old professional, and have been driving two-wheelers for about 12 yrs now. It all started with a Bajaj Chetak , progressed to a Hero Honda Splendor, gra...Read more

@Sam9s & all experts, Guys need your final opinion.... I took a test ride today, and must say I liked it...I owned a Honda Unicorn ( 2007-2009) & Pulsar( 2002-2007, the very primitive version) and I can say without doubt that GS150R beats these two in low rev. pick up.... I am worried about these... things at the moment : 1. Noise at 3.5 k rpm 2. Drop in mileage after a few months 3. Rust Issues 4. After Sales Service Pls. respond with expert opinion. Read More
