During the last 5 years, the television market has been flooded with various types and models of televisions( CRT, LCD, Plasma) and prices have come down like anything. This has given rise to immense competition amongst the manufacturers and only a few have been able to maintain their value-for money tag.most of them giving poor build quality.
Well, for those who are not bothered about a patch of green on the screen, or the BSE ticker bending downwards or the TV channel logo bending upwards, the screen brightness flickering on dark scenes, I would suggest this as a'must-buy' - price being the only pro. Though I am very particular about these things, I got trapped as well(We are not allowed to test the TV in the store before buying it), and got the pleasant surprise( well, not really) after doing the first run at home.
Here are the problems:
Picture bends at the top right corner.
Brightness flickers during darker scenes or images with dark colors. To add to that, you can't register a complaint at the samsung website( It keeps saying, PLEASE TRY AFTER SOMETIME).well test your patience! And yes, those of you who think there is a Service Menu to fix it, well let me tell you - There is no setting in theservice menu of the new-age CRT TV's to fix HORIZONTAL alignment problems. To summarise in one line - keep away from the product .
