Conned by Videocon D2H!. Review on d2h

I had taken Videocon d2h connection few years back. We added another connection for bedroom after some time. Since it was rarely used we decided to close the same. We called the customer service and their service man came for the same. He told us there was exchange offer on High Definition connection. We accepted the same.

This guy then took back all old smart cards in the boxes. Removed the cable of the bedroom connection and used it for main connection since old cable was bad as per him. He assured us that second connection will be closed. We believed him and didn't pursue further as the physical connection was terminated.

After few months I recharged the connection after expiry of free period of new box. I was bit surprised when recharge lasted only few months. To test I recharged with minimum amount of Rs. 200. I was surprised when it was consumed within 2 weeks.

At the same time I got SMS from them that my monthly charge was Rs. 500+. I was shocked and called customer service. After few frustrating calls I was informed to my shock that second connection was still active and I was being charged for the same for last 10 months. I was enraged and lodged a complaint. Complaint number was 207239156.

The customer service was really pathetic. After I shouted at them for three days they took action. They acknowledged that second connection was active but refused to refund the extra amount charged saying they don't have any records and connection was still active. They were kind enough to tell me that they will close the second connection now and I will be charged for one connection only from now on.

Enraged at this I have now decided to close their connection. My account id with them was 173026.
