I booked a Mahindra XUV from Zoom Car(Karambakam - Chennai) for 12 hrs(01.05.16 8.30 am to 8 PM).
Once I reached their site to pick up my ride, the vehicle which was alloted to me was not present since the previous customer has extended his booking.(There was no prior intimation to me regarding this from their representative).
I waited for another 1 Hr and changed my booking to a Mahindra Scorpio.(There is a difference in fare of around 500 rs and they promised to refund it)
Since I had no other option and I couldn't cancel my plan, I proceeded with Scorpio.
So with my entire family, we started our trip and 25 kms into the journey, hoilaaa the vehicle engine temperature begins to shoot up.
I immediately stopped the vehicle and found out that the radiator coolant container was empty. I tried pouring some water into it and found that the hose was leaking.
So with the entire family standing by the road, I contacted the zoom car site from where I took my vehicle and explained him my situation.
He tried to arrange an alternative vehicle, which was in vain.
And finally and numerous calls to local zoom car person and their customer care they advised me to park the vehicle on the roadside and leave the place and also that the booking gets cancelled due to vehicle breakdown and the amount for remaining hours will be refunded.
But now, their customer care representative called me to inform that the radiator leak was due to external impact which was because of my negligence, so I have to bear the repair amount.
There was no accident during my trip and the radiator hose leak was purely due to their poor vehicle maintenance.
Now I have to fight with them to get my money back. Phew.
Way to go Zooom Car. Long live ur customer service.
