Booked a car from Zoomcar for pick up at New Delhi Aerocity metro station. While booking I entered desired time as 7pm to 8am next day. After I made the payment I got a message saying that the car was booked from 11: 30pm to 1pm next day. This was ridiculous because my flight from Mumbai to Delhi was reaching at 7pm and next day I had to take another flight at 11am. I called their customer care and they said that if I cancelled the booking 25% of the cist would be deducted, in spite of the fcat that it was their error. I suspect that this might be their one way of revenue generation for them, earning 25% of the charges without moving a finger. After hours of discussing , yelling they asked me to pay some more money and booked me from 8: 30 pm to 8am. I accepted it only because I had no other option. I had planned a meeting in Noida at 9: 30pm. When I reached Metro station at 8: 30pm there was no car, again after a series of telephone calls the car ultimately came at 9: 30pm. Next day when I came to return the car at 8am, again there was no one to collect the car in spite of the fact that I had spoken to the executive at 7: 45am as desired by him. I had an international flight to catch and I was worried what to do. Ultimately the person came at 8: 25am to take the car. While I was waiting for the person to collect the car there were 3 other clients also waiting, so it seems to be a common problem with Zoomcar. It was overall a horrible experience. I would not recommend using them at all. On top of all this they sent me an additional bill for the delayed time in returning the car which was their error. I am trying to file a complaint with Consumer court but it seems that Zoomcar is not one of the companies they take complaints about.
