Zakir Hussain is an Indian tabla player, musical producer, film actor and composer. He is an indian living legend.
He is the Gem of India. he was awarded Padma Shri in 1988 or 1989. and also Padma Bhushan afterwards. He was awarded the United States National Endowment for the Arts's National Heritage Fellowship, the highest award given to traditional artists and musicians.
He is basically from Mumbai. Learned tabla in school of Mahim and graduated from St. Xavier college Mumbai. He learned tabla since age of 3 taught by his father.
His Dedication and hard work leads him to this Level. We all Indian are proud of him and I must say he is living legend and we all pray that he gets more success in upcoming year and his popularity increase day by day.
