Yuva 'a different attempt'. Review on Yuva - Bollywood

Taran ''nonsense'' Adarsh is anti south he doesnt like south indians..and he is also biased and a SRK chamcha..

ppl often RESIST CHANGES. It takes time to get used to DIFFERENT things.

Yuva is a bold film by mani ratnam. He has made attempt to change the style of directing films(in india)

the interesting about the film is the film starts with AB jr and Vijay raaz in the car chasing Ajay to kill him. The interaction between vijay and laalan could not be understood by viewers initally but the style of directing and screenplay is beautiful, we may feel confused at start bu mani beautifully narrates the film..infact the starting scene in repeated 4-5 times in the movie..u may be wondering what the hell is it??but trust me it is unique and wonderfully directed by the master mani ratnam..

After lallan shoots ajay(micheal) which is also witnessed by vivek the flashback starts(technique used in alaipayuthey).

Its about lallan and his wife sashi(rani)..basically lallan is a goonda he fights for everything very rude but loves his wife at the same time hits and beats her very rudely..

The song dol dol is very well made...

Infact the ending of this lallan story is the first scene being repeated when lalln shoots micheal..

Here we understand the conversation between lallan and vijay raaz..

The second story is of mnicheal..

He is a college student interested in politics, his aim is to clean the corruption in the political system. Esha deol is his childhood fiancee who comes from delhi and is a french teacher..

In this story mani depicts the autocratic rule in bengal by a minister(om puri)

The interaction between them is a highlight in the film..

It is indeed om puri who hires AB jr to kill ajay cause ajay wants to contest the elections.

This story also ends with the first scene of the movie..(mind you it is beautifully directed by mani if you are skeptical u wont enjoy it) the interval point arrives..

The third story of arjun (vivek) and meera(kareena)

It has very good comic moments..it is very enjoyable to watch..

Arjun is a flirt and he comes to bengal after his college studies and his aim is to go abroad but his father wants him to be an IAS..

Arjun has a younger brother the interaction of these two is very very fuuny on of the plus points of the film..the songs fanah and anjaane are nice..

The rest of the story is how lallan tries to stop micheal and arjun(who also under influence of micheal) into entering elections..

The way how the three meet in the bridge is enjoyable..

Performances..abhishek has done a brilliant job he might win an award for his performance..

ajay as usual is solid and vivek provides some good on liner comic..

Rani has an wonderful role..the way she yells in the train is too good(watch out this scene)

esha has improves so too is kareena.

Om puri vijay raz and other artist have done good job...

The film does not state the problems of youth or how it can be solved it states the corrupt system in india and it is only by the youth who can correct it by joining politics rather than aiming for US and working for that country.

A R Rahman's music is a asset to this film the BGM(backgroung music) is outstanding.

Ravi K chandran with his camera work,sabu cyril with is art and vikram dharma with the stunts are beauty..

The stunts is the climax of the film is mind blowing(with use of spl effects)

Dialogues by anurag khaysap are also good.

On the whole it is a DIFFERENT hindi film..Mani has made a daring filmi it is difficult to predict whether ppl will like it or not..

ppl like taran useless adarsh who like films where there is a item song, 70's type of film, johny lever comic, and SRK movies will only see the negative side of Yuva..

If u are a main hoo naa type fan strictly avoid this film since this is a quality film..(well I am not anti SRK)

Taran months ago went gaga over Yuva music and now says the music is ordinary!!!

Whatever may be the outcome of the film MANI RATNAM has given us a different meaningful cinema, though it may not be his best but it is better than the recent hindi flicks.
