I live in Gurgaon, Phase 3, T-block.
I applied for a broadband connection 10 days ago. They collected payment the very next day, and promised the installation within 3-4 working days. A linesman came and installed the cable a couple of days later. Till then, all good.
On the 5th day or so, I called up YOU to find out when my modem would be installed. I was told the next day. Called the next day, still nothing. Finally an "engineer" comes the next day and installs the modem. Of course, at this point, the modem doesn't go online. I am told that the line probably needs to be checked.
Since then, I have been calling YOU support every single day. Every day I am told somebody will call me back, and nobody does. I called the "engineer" myself, and he says he has raised the request for the line to be inspected and there is nothing more he can do. He gave me the number of his manager, whose phone is either unreachable or never answered.
TL;DR - Been 10 days since I applied and paid for my connection, and I haven't been able to use it once.
EDIT 25 July - Spoke with customer care yesterday, and they said the estimated time for resolution is 31st July(one week from now!). Spoke to Mr. Digvijay in the evening and he said somebody will come in an hour to fix it. Nobody came.
EDIT 26 July - Somebody came and took away my cable modem saying it was faulty. I was told a new one would be installed within a few hours. And then nothing happened. Hoping to get it today.
EDIT 27 July - Modem was replaced yesterday, but the new one isn't going online either. I was told something would be done today, and I have tried calling Mr. Ajab Singh(helpless) and Mr. Digvijay(not answering). So far, nothing.
EDIT 28 July - Nothing happened yesterday. Mr. Digvijay has obviously started ignoring my calls(zero calls answered out of roughly 10 attempts). Ajab Singh says he can't do much.
EDIT 02 Aug - My connection finally worked(for a few hours) on the 29th. Since then my modem has been offline. I must have made at least 20 phone calls to YOU support, Ajab Singh, and Digvijay by now. So far I have been told that my wiring is faulty, there fiber got cut(twice), rainwater entered the wire interconnects, and my modem is faulty(replaced once, but to no benefit). Terrible, terrible service.
EDIT 03 Aug - Spoke with customer support yesterday and they said somebody would be over at 4pm. Nobody came.
EDIT 05 Aug - Still nothing. Spoke with Mr. Snehal who is a senior supervisor at YOU support, and he said it'll be up by 4pm today. Somehow I have very little faith in his statement!
