I bought this Yo Bike in November 2008. I was quite happy with the product. The only problem I faced that I had to plan my ride, charge my vehicle and then go.. sometimes I got stuck in between becoz my bike was not charged properly. My first problem arrived when the bike faced its first monsooon in Pune. Since the city has many uphill and downhill, waterlogging is frequent and if at all Yo bike has to go through little waterlogging.....the vehicle stopped and I had to drag it.....They have only one service station in a big city like Pune which is around 25 km from my house. They do not provide any kind of pick up and drop so for servicing I have to go by bus or other transport which cost me Rs 300 for a low servicing of Rs 250.
Now if any minor problem occurs in the rear tyre, no mechanic dares to open becoz of the complication of the break wires attached to the rear tyre. common mechanics do not know about its part and function, so everytime you are in problem only saviour is the servicing center and the people out there are quite lazy.
The charger which is used for charging can also be repaired or exchange only from the company and they took 1 complete YEAR to change my charger and that tooo is still not working so since 2010 SEPTEMBER till MARCH 2011 my vehicle is not in use.
I appreciate the technology and the product, but it requires very good after sales because they are the only one who can support the product, which the dealers are not doing. I am afraid a very good product will be out of market just because the company does not focus on its support and after sales.
