YEZDI 250CC 1976. Review on Yezdi Classic

A Lot has been said abut this bike which is truly an engineering marvel, machine which gave word 'durable' a whole new dimension. My love for this bikes dates back to days when I was nt even able to ride it, I remember my dad giving me ride with me sitting in frnt resting my hand on its petrol tank , well after many years I learn to ride this beauty, it was year 2000 when I actually took this bike in to my own possession.

I made it fully restored spend some 10k buks on it, and boy I cant forget the first time I ride it when it was fully done, this is truly the best 2 stroke bike ever produced in india , although iam a big fan of RD 350 and enfield but still I would rate Yezdi above them and I have reasons for it, RD & Enfield can be said best bikes for highways, but Yezdi can be easily taken as daily comutter bike as well as when u need to strech its legs on highways she wnt disappoint u with a 250cc motor pumping out 13 BHP @ 4750 RPM, in 4.6 sec ( 0 to 60 KMPH) & a top whack of 120kmph these numbers shall clear all the doubts if any one has.

I have run this bike nearly to a lac kms personally, kept aside which my dad use its for 24 yrs and still I find it pleasure to ride, I recently bought new Pulsar 200 cc , bt I found pickup of my 33 yrs old yezdi is better than pulsar 200cc, cant figure out why cant Bajaj give better technology even after 33 yrs and 13 yrs of last production yr of Yezdi.Once have travelled 150 km at a strech on this bike without any stoppage tht to with an avg speed of 90 kmph and this thing doesn’t messed at all, no other bike in india has better sound than a yezdi here iam categorically referring to RD & Enfield.

I wonder how lucky guys would be of 1980s coz they have got the opportunity of riding stock condition Yezdi.I wnt talk much about its specifications coz already there are many post related to it, I just wanna say u have to ride it to believe it, sadly its nt in production now, and its spares are totally out of market so one cant get more gud bikes now, although some die hard Yezdians are still managing some how but I feel tht the magic cant be created again, Cheers to all Yezdians...
