Good Time @ Yercaud. Review on Yeracaud

We planned a trip to yercaud with family (since train tickets were available for yercaud alone)on Ramzan  We had booked Royal Resorts for our accommodation.

From Salem boarded bus to yercaud , there were 20 hair pin bends  totally .Within 1 hr 30 mins we reached yercaud from Salem. The resort was walk able from bus stop. Royal resort was economical and Mr.Senthilkumar - Manager Royal resorts helped  us a lot throughout our stay in yercaud. We were happy to receive neat and clean rooms within the budget.

Next day we started our sightseeing in Travera. Had our breakfast in Malar restaurant (Food was really good and reasonable price compared to other restaurants).

Our first place was Monte Forte School. The school was really good. But unfortunately we were not able to enter inside as it was a working day. But we had a good photo session with family. :)

The climate was simply awesome and we were relieved from hot sun of Chennai and our busy schedules temporarily.

Next we visited Ladies seat, Gents seat and Children seat points. All these three gave a similar feel  but we were able to see the beauty of yercaud from those points. Also these places had many petty shops selling fruits, bajji etc.were we  had a good time with fruits like star apple, butter fruits and fig. (I really enjoyed these fruits). Then after a long walk we tasted bajji's and tea, which was very  tasty and made us comfortable for the climate.

Rose garden was nearby these points but we couldn’t find many varieties.

Evening we planned for Boating, it is normally rush so planned accordingly and got the tickets as it will  be closed by 5.30 p.m. Next day visited Anna park and kiliyur falls.Had a good kulfi @ eggitterian.

Boarded bus to Salem on next day. Visited Taramangalam - Kailashnath temple. Had very good darshan and was surprised by the way the sculptures were designed.Pathala lingam  darshan was good.

Whole family chanted sivapuranam together.We then left to Mettur to see the dam.So happy seeing the dam with full water but was disappointed as we were not able to walk on the bridge.But we treated our stomach with ice cream and corn :) Traveled to mettur park, very bad experience as sun was draining all our energy while we walked 1 km to park. Our trip came to end with Mettur park.

Overall we enjoyed this trip thoroughly as we went with whole family. :)
